Mitt (Mittens) Willard Romney has won the Nevada caucuses, like that’s a surprise to anyone. Mr. Romney, the friend of the poor, and champion of the downtrodden, a common man, will not doubt go on to win the Republican nomination and lose to Barack Obama. Go Mittens!

The more interesting battle is shaping up to be for second place: With 10% of returns in, Romney had 48%, followed by Ron Paul (21), Newt Gingrich (20), and Rick Santorum (11). Next up after tonight: Tuesday night caucuses in Minnesota and Colorado, and a primary in Missouri, though the latter contest will award no delegates.
