You might see the price of your iMac increase in the next couple of years, at least if Evelyn Paswall is successful in her multimillion dollar lawsuit against the computer giant.

A Long Island, New York, woman is suing Apple for $1 million. Evelyn Paswall, an 83-year-old woman, believes the design of the Apple store is dangerous. Paswell broke her nose when she walked into the glass doors of the sleekly designed building.

Her lawyer, Derek T. Smith, says the store’s high-tech modern architecture poses a danger to some people. Paswell has filed suit for medical expenses and negligence. As of Saturday, the store in question had white markings installed on its doors to prevent future accidents.

This is not the first time that someone has been reported walking into the glass at an Apple store. Last year, an elderly Canadian woman also walked into the glass as she was exiting a store.

I’m glad I bought my iPad before this lady decided to visit Apple!

I’m sorry but when will people take responsibility for their own stupidity. I’ve been to dozens of Apple stores, and many other stores with glass doors – it’s not that hard. In a society that rewards people for spilling hot coffee in their lap, I say enough is enough. This is God’s way of natural selection – and you’re failing. Stop dumbing down our culture.

I say more power to her. Not only did I once spend a night fearing I had a concussion after walking into a glass wall full-force at a work event, I also later learned that a grandmother of a customer attending the same event was taken away in an ambulance that night for doing the same thing. It’s just like birds flying into windows–if it’s a clean enough and large enough sheet of glass, and there’s no light glare, etc. for your perception to be able to detect it, that stuff’s dangerous. Hey, we’re only human!

Go, granny!
