11 Things You Didn’t Know About Paul ‘Eddie Munster’ Ryan
Willard Mitt Romney, following much soul searching, has tapped Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate. Rumor has it that Mitt was really hoping to convince Sarah Palin, but she declined saying she was either number one of nothing. The latter descriptor has applied most of her life.
That being said here are some little-known facts about the former frat bro and fly fisher, most of which, but not all, come from our good friends over at Politico:
1. Hates his nickname. Ryan’s middle name is Davis, so growing up, he was dubbed “P.D.” but it was pronounced “Petey.” Ryan couldn’t stand it.
2. Rocks out to Beethoven. He’s been known to plug in his iPod headphones to ignore reporters on the Hill. Favorites include Beethoven and Led Zeppelin.
3. Works out like a warrior. He’s been known to lead P90X sessions with Hill staffers and lawmakers. “It’s a fantastic workout,” Ryan says. “Bart Stupak and I lead it every morning. There’s about a dozen of us who do it.”
4. Drives like a trucker. Ryan turned his truck into an office on wheels when he was elected to Congress so he could meet with constituents in rural communities.
5. Takes the bait. His favorite hobby is fly-fishing. He does so with his kids and even asked his wife Janna to marry him on a fishing trip in St. Germain Lake in northern Wisconsin in 2000.
6. Former Frat Bro. While studying at Miami University, Ryan was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
7. Good with words. Before he was elected to Congress, served as a speechwriter for Jack Kemp’s and William Bennet’s “Empower America” organization, a conservative nonprofit.
8. Hard time as a teen. At 16 years old, Ryan, who shares a name with his father, found his father’s body after his dad Paul died.
9. Already collected Social Security. After Ryan’s father passed away, he saved Social Security survivor’s benefits to pay for attending Miami University, where Ryan double majored in economics and political science in 1992.
10. Dutiful dad. Ryan is a father of three, including two sons named Charles and Samuel and one daughter, Elizabeth.
11. Ryan is a big fan of Atheist Ayn Rand and claims she was the catalyst that propelled him into political life.

I’m unsure that I agree with your thoughts. I enjoy the style
of your writing, but I have discovered more specific
info here https://bestvacuumforhardwoodfloors.org/cheapest-vacuum-cleaners.html. Maybe
you will do some extra study and rewrite your post
just a little bit. I am sure that with more efforts you will have a much better result.
I really didn’t think Romney would do it, but he did. Paul Ryan is able to speak with enthusiasm better than Romney and he truly believes in his plan being what is best for the country. However, this solidifies the Romney tax goal of gutting Social Security and Medicare and I think it will bring in the right wing base. On the other hand this should also scare the hell out of the the independents and the Democrats. In his effort to add some fire to his campaign up I think he may have also pick someone who will also fire up the Democrats because he really clarified what is at stake now.
I know he has fired this particular dem up with this choice. Minutes after his choice being revealed, Romney started yammering with the talking points from his press people. Yeah this will work for you Mitt, keep on keeping on.
2) Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have different views on some policy areas — like Medicare spending, entitlement reform, labor, etc. — do you think those differences are going to hurt or help?

I expect that Ryan will meet Romney somewhere in the middle on the entitlement issues. There’s no courage or conviction in politics.
Bill I agree with you. This might just be the proverbial straw when it comes to independents. I doubt there is much that can be done with the Obama Hating Democrats but everyone on the Left who isn’t might just be motivated.
He is the gift that will keep on giving for O-Joe. Here I thought this was going to be a boring election. One pic flying around, within the last couple hours for you all to enjoy.
