GOP Tells Akin To Stay Away From Convention

The Righties are trying their hardest to distance themselves from Missouri’s Todd Akin, although the majority of the GOP pols are no doubt mirror images of him.  While they decry what he said, they secretly applaud him, but know they dare not go public for fear of alienating women all over the country, something they may well have done during their primary wars.  Regardless, Republicans are taking no chances as this story tells us.

Todd Akin will honor Reince Priebus’ request that he skip the Republican National Convention, he told George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America today. When asked if he’d also heed GOP leaders’ calls to exit the race, he left the door open the barest crack, but appeared adamant about staying in. “I’m never going to say everything that could possibly happen,” he said. But “It makes me uncomfortable to think that the party bosses are going to dictate who runs as opposed to the election process.”

“A number of us ran in this Republican primary. Each of us had our messages. I was outspent by a large amount in terms of media,” he said. “The people of Missouri chose me to be their candidate.” When Stephanopoulos tried to get Akin to explain his “legitimate rape” comments, he said, “The word ‘legitimate’ doesn’t ever have a good reason to be standing next to rape. There is no rape that is legitimate.”

I think it is time that all women banded together and went on strike until this crap gets straightened out. Sure you will have your neo con right wing Bible thumping women who won’t follow you but I think there are more than enough good men to make up for them. This time go for the jugular. Spell it out. Equal rights, equal pay, equal say over your bodies, including no state nor the federal government may pass any law that applies to women alone unless at least 60% of the female citizens in this country vote for it. No more sex, no more children, no more anything from females until the government gets it fixed. I will be the first to sign your petition.

He and Ryan wrote HR3. Every damn one of them believes exactly what he said, and Jess is right. They wrote personhood into their own damn platform. Akin is the scapegoat, but they have all said shit like this for decades. Excuse my language, or don’t, I am so angry I really just don’t care who I offend any more.

Well let me add to that anger just a little. I came across something this morning and I stopped everything to get to thinking about it. So we have the GoOper’s yammering on about personhood and the sperm and egg being all sacred right. Now if they managed to somehow get this to where a constitutional amendment was right around the corner, these fetii would have more rights than us born females. The only thing women have going for them, we are allowed to vote according to the 19th amendment, ERA was never ratified because 3 or 4 states got all askeered about it. So to cut my 3 hour thinking down to one blurb, men have all the rights, fetii would be guarandamnteed those rights and women are still fighting for the ERA to be ratified. Chew on that and try not to get even angrier ladies and those men who love and support us.

He needs to be a millstone round their necks. They have, after all, written personhood into the GoOper platform and he is only saying what they all think.
