Republicans: Birth Control Attack on Religious Freedom

Read Time:3 Minute, 57 Second
Republican Congressman Mike Kelly goes nuts and compares free birth control to Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Pic from Jezebel.com. Read more at http://www.madmikesamerica.com.

In Daily Kos a Republican named Mike Kelly said today should be remembered right up there with 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. Why, because today health insurance companies are required to cover contraceptive services.

To Kelly, in his world of paranoia, every female member will go out and screw every male she can find. My daughter, for example, rides a male every chance she gets! Of course he weighs 1200 lbs and his breath smells like hay or grain, but that is beside the point.

To men of Kelly’s caliber, women will use any excuse to go out and have sex. To these men, the only pure woman is their mother (and the Virgin Mary, if you believe that malarkey). These women are wholesome and good, while all the rest are evil sluts.

They want to control a woman’s sex life because they cannot control their own. It is like the stories you hear every so often of finding an anti-gay advocate in a compromising position with another member of the same sex. People like:

George Rekers, a man who helped start one of the most powerful anti-gay lobbying groups in the US during the 80s and has written published papers such as Growing Up Straight: What Families Should Know About Homosexuality, had a recent surgery so during a lecture tour and was unable to lift his own luggage, so he hired some help — which is perfectly reasonable. Where did he go to get this help? Rentboy.com, baby. He there found a young, ripped, hairless, vampire-from-a-young-adult-book-looking boy named Lucien who he brought on his trip to “lift his luggage”(which is now an awesome euphemism for hiring a male prostitute and/or having sex with a male).

Pastor Eddie Long, a Baptist and famed televangelist in his area. In 2004, he led a march to Dr. Martin Luther King’s grave in the name of defining marriage as between a man and a woman. He has also been quoted as saying that his church can “deliver” people from homosexuality. He is currently being sued by four young men (ages 21, 20, 23 and 22) for using his fame and influence to coerce them into sexual relationships.

David Dreier is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives who has voted against gay marriage rights, gay legal rights and gay adoption rights and was part of an organization called Californians for Bush in 2004. He’s been accused of having sex with members of his staff and even paying his alleged boyfriend a high salary (like any politically corrupt, good boyfriend should.)

Did I just name names? Well, there are others, but you get my point. There are guys out there with the libido of a 20 something male, or so they think. We see men who have trophy wives on their arms to prove they still have it. And to ensure it is proof positive, they will move mountains to get her pregnant.

Why on earth do you think insurance will cover the little blue pill so a guy can get an erection, but at the same time bow to the rich and powerful to do what they can to deny contraceptive health? To these guys, all the Pill is good for is to prevent pregnancies. They do not realize the pill can be used for:

Alleviation of menstrual cramps
Reduction of amount and duration of menstrual bleeding
Regulation of periods
Clearing up some types of acne
Lowering the risk of endometrial and ovarian cancers
Treatment of endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome

Also, Kelly said something else which made no sense, “I know in your mind you can think of times when America was attacked. One is December 7th, that’s Pearl Harbor day.  The other is September 11th, and that’s the day of the terrorist attack,” Kelly said at a press conference on Capitol Hill. “I want you to remember August the 1st, 2012, the attack on our religious freedom. That is a day that will live in infamy, along with those other dates.”

Religious freedom? I have yet to link the two together. The Pill is an attack on Religious Freedom? I want one of those nut cases to explain that one to me.

Does he not mean religious tyranny?

For many years America has flirted with theocracy and if the Right wins the WH and both congresses we will get closer and closer. We are an embarrassment to the world.

We have ONE Congress that is comprised of TWO houses … the House of REPRESENTATIVES and the Senate. What is truly embarassing are the people who profess to be so knowledgeable and show it by putting their lack of said knowledge on display.

This is never ending. Jesus Jumpers using that silly bible to hide their own personal prejudices.

What seems to be really never ending is the hatred and intolerance exhibited by those who proclaim their tolerance by being intolerant.

Typical … nothing intelligent to say or add, just insults to hurl in spite of the exagerations and aggregious distortions and misrepresentations of fact.
