SCOTUS: The Dumbest of the Dumb
There is no doubt that Clarence Thomas is the dumbest judge ever to grace the supreme court of the United States. Sadly not a lot of Americans even know his name or the names of the other judges for that matter.
(Newser) – Nine people helped determine the fate of ObamaCare this year—and most Americans can’t name a single one. Two-thirds of us are unable to name a Supreme Court justice, according to legal website FindLaw.com’s poll of 1,000 people. Chief Justice John Roberts was the most familiar name, known by just 20% of respondents. Only 3% could name Stephen Breyer, making him the least-known. The justices and their recognition levels, according to the Wall Street Journal:
- John Roberts: 20%
- Antonin Scalia: 16%
- Clarence Thomas: 16%
- Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 13%
- Sonia Sotomayor: 13%
- Anthony Kennedy: 10%
- Samuel Alito: 5%
- Elena Kagan: 4%

Clarence Thomas thinks that because he managed, by hook or crook, to get where he is, that all other minority members are lazy freeloaders and he could care less about them. Any resemblance between he and Thurgood Marshall are apparent only to the deaf, dumb, and blind.
Great job on the comic portraits ! Can you do one of me? I’m tired of looking in the mirror for a laugh.
One of the late-night comics, Leno or whoever, use to do a bit where he’d walk around New York and ask people questions that any high school kid should know. These were real man on the street interviews. At one point he asked someone, “what was the name applied to the antagonist forces in WWII?” One of my favorite answers was, “wasn’t that the one where President Johnson freed the slaves?”
My poor wife’s gotten herself hooked on Jersey Shore. She was watching it last night, and I happened by. Snookie, the star of the thing, who happens to be on the NYT bestseller list (go figure) thinks Cancun is an island, and queries as to why they “don’t have a moon in this country.”
No one ever lost an election, underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
I watched those Leno segments and some of the people he interviewed, many of them college students, were dumb as rocks. American education is an embarrassment.
