A Letter to the President

Read Time:1 Minute, 17 Second

Dear Mr. President,

Before I continue, I just want you to know that I have the utmost respect for you and have no wish to offend you in the slightest. But having said that, I have a message to pass on to you from all of your supporters that wish they had the balls to say, but won’t. So I will. And here’s the message:

GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT!

You really screwed up by letting Romney walk all over you in the first debate. I have no idea WHAT you were thinking, but I want you to understand something- EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO SUPPORTS YOU IS FIGHTING FOR YOU. How does it look when you take a dive in front of a man who is so clearly lying his ass off, and you don’t stand up to him?

We are fighting tooth and nail for you, and we need you to fight for US. If you don’t, then as much as I hate to say it, you do not deserve a second term.

I apologize for being so harsh, but being diplomatic and pussyfooting around isn’t going to accomplish anything. If you get offended by my letter, let’s get something straight- I DON’T GIVE A SHIT. Send the Secret Service after me. I don’t care as long as you do what’s right.

That’s all I have to say. Thanks for listening and good luck. You’re gonna need it.

-Gregory B. Gonzalez

PS- Fire your advisers. They clearly have no idea what the Hell they’re doing.

His parents once had him tested for Tourette's, but when the doctor came back with his results, he said, "No, he's fine. Your son is just an a**hole!" It's been downhill ever since. He lives like the Unabomber, only without the explosives. Feel free to contact him provided you can actually locate him. Just keep in mind that he'll probably make fun of you to your face. We here at MMA can't stand him, so if you want him, he's all yours!

Bill- I agree with you on everything you’ve said. But here’s the problem: It never should have happened. President Obama and his people should have anticipated Romney’s tactics before the debate ever started. I knew he was gonna come out swinging, and all the President had to do was call him out. He absolutely cannot afford to keep taking the ‘high road’ anymore. The American people have the attention span of a tick, and he needs to come off as a man of strength. I’m not saying he has to rip Romney a new one, but at least have the balls to call him out on his bullshit. That’s all I’m saying.

Greg, I believe we will see that in the next debate. I can’t say for sure if Obama was setting Romney up but there is a technique that I have saw used by attorneys and law professors use before where they let there opponent (student or adversary) walk themselves into a position that it is extremely difficult to back away from and them beat them to death with their own words. It will be difficult for Romney to walk back from the things he said in front of the debate audience. The next debate, if this the case will be to hammer him with his own words on his own commitments from the debate stage. Look for Obama to have specific quotes that Romney has said to be thrown at him that contradictory to his debate positions.

I Hope.

Greg, I think a lot of us feel that the President, including himself, did not do well in the first debate. I was also disappointed in how he seemed to let Romney take the stage away from him. I have also criticized him numerous times here on MMA for trying to compromise with those who avowed to not work with him. However, I am sure that he is well aware of what happened and what things need to change. It is difficult to debate someone whose policies change and are denied on a daily basis. For example, he challenge Romney on his tax plan and Romney denied that it was his tax plan even though days before he had embraced the same plan. Romney also will not provide specifics on anything so any counter arguments made against him turns into a ya ya, “who’s on first” type argument that looks like two five year old kids.
It is a delicate balance between maintaining presidential poise while putting an aggressive challenger in his place and getting into a one up man ship with a challenger

Diplomatic and pussyfooting! That’s it. He needs to do less of that and more of Joe Biden.
