Then, since I’ve seen all the parodies, I felt I should take a look at the original “Gangnam Style” video. It’s cute, but “Mitt Romney Style” is funnier. After being slapped in the face by Meat Loaf howling into a microphone and the fact that “Gangnam Style” has over half a billion views on You Tube (yes, billion with a B), I popped back over to Facebook just in time to see the video I am sharing at Mad Mike’s.
I have a wonderful friend named Ken. He and I have a similar sense of humor and a love of the arts. Combining these two loves, Ken posted a video entitled “O Fortuna Misheard Lyrics.” I love “O Fortuna;” it’s one of the most beautiful pieces of choral music every created. I watched “O Fortuna Misheard Lyrics” twice. I had to, because during the first viewing/listening, I was laughing so hard I missed things. The brilliant minds behind this video should be commended and given the Nobel Prize for comedy. If there isn’t a Nobel Prize for comedy, we need to create one and give it the people who made “O Fortuna Misheard Lyrics.”
Funny Times.com, the website from which “O Fortuna Misheard Lyrics” hails also has other videos, a magazine (we’re getting a subscription) and a store, where I found a Spanish Inquisition tee shirt that will be given to a few people this Christmas. After you recover from “O Fortuna Misheard Lyrics,” wander the website. It’s worth it.
Now put some boots on your octopus and enjoy “O Fortuna Misheard Lyrics.”
