Secret Service honcho Mark Sullivan is a well known blackguard.  Those close to him, and to the top echelons of the Service will tell you Sullivan in an incompetent fool who should have been fired ages ago, and at the least, not reappointed by the Obama administration.

Sullivan was appointed to the office in 2006 by then President George Bush, and Obama’s election in 2008 afforded a clear opportunity to replace him with someone both more competent and no doubt more loyal.  Unfortunately, for reasons known only to them, they didn’t seize that opportunity.  I expect they’re regretting that decision today.

The director of the Secret Service, Mark Sullivan, may well be charged with perjury over his agency’s prostitution scandal. Sources tell Fox News that an investigation from the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general indicates that Sullivan may have lied to Congress, and that the inspector general has been talking with Justice Department prosecutors for months about filing charges. During his testimony, Sullivan said that they had identified all the women in the scandal, and that none had any connection with “criminal activity or criminal organization” or with foreign intelligence agencies. But sources say that at the time Sullivan knew that the intelligence community had confirmed that one of the women had produced a hit on the CIA’s database of known criminals, and another yielded a partial hit. Sources say that he also may have manipulated a report to the Senate Homeland Security Committee to downplay past incidents.

Think about this. For all the difference he has made, Obama might be the hand-picked successor to Bush. We’re still in counter-productive wars, the “Patriot” Act has been extended and reinforced, the bank bail-out (nee robbery) went through without a murmur of dissent (It was greater than decades of the entire NASA budget. Nd what has really changed. BHO is just another politician controlled by the same moneyed interests that have run every president since the 1800s.
