Now all women, if the inferences of the left leaning women on MSNBC or true, are pissed at President Obama for not appointing more women to his cabinet. Fingers were pointed. Statements about the importance and judgment of women and how they’re better than men at stuff were made. A picture that showed a room full of men with the President and one of the hiding all but Valerie Jarrett’s leg from view has been the rage. Typical misogynist bastards. Thinking that’s all a woman is good for is showing a little leg.
It reminds me of when Jimmy Carter was president. I forgot what he did to piss off all the women but Bella Abzug stuck her finger in his face and told him he pissed off all the women. President Carter fired Bella who said this would further enrage women but I don’t remember my Mom being enraged.
I may well piss off all women with this post, but the truth is outside of political junkies and pundits, nobody else really cares who’s in Obama’s cabinet as long as they do the job and of course President Obama should surround himself with people he trusts, unless of course he gets a chance to get Hillary Clinton back on board. The best thing about that wouldn’t be that it would make women happy again. It would piss off republicans and that’s always a good thing.

Joe, I agree that the Prez should have people in his cabinet he wants because it his ass on the line. However, I was disappointed that he threw Susan Rice under the bus. Not because she was a woman but because he let the Republicans bully him. Personally, I like diversity in the decision making process because I think men and women think differently or at least see things from different perspectives. I also think that different ethnic groups view things differently, but, in the end, it is still President Obama who will ultimately answer for those decisions so the choice should be his.

Bill I’m not sure he threw Rice “under the bus.” He defended her vigorously, but I think the tree was already poisoned by the Benghazi incident and she elected to take herself out of the picture.

Let’s remember that women are one demographic where Obama does quite well. That probably pisses off the two Republican women who see this as a threat to their chances for re-election.

Condoleza Rice was a lousy secretary of state.

True, but a good political move by Bush. She was controllable. That’s what he needed, meat puppets.

When it comes to Dubya I’m not sure who were the puppets and who was the puppet master.

This coming from the party of all white men all the time in leadership roles, is getting old from the GoOpers. They have one woman in a leadership role and she is only there for a token. As a not man, I want people in charge that can do the damn job. I don’t want the judge of Arabian horse shows in charge of emergency management.

I think he’s got plenty of women in his cabinet. Everyone knows there are more educated men than women anyway, so I wish the feminist crowd would just shut their pie holes and leave the pres alone. Would you be happier with Romney ya whiners?

ooooh, you might want to look up the statistics there Sparky. We of the not man persuasion are outpacing the menz at a fast pace, when it comes to getting that education.

Republicans like educated women that know their place.
I really just think there must be bigger things to worry about. One Supreme Court justice should be worth all the cabinet positions. And Obama appointed two persons of the not man persuasion to it.

Oh, Joe…
I have no idea how Obama will get any of his cabinet picks through the Senate; everyone will be held hostage by the debt ceiling/spending cuts battles that will be raged over the next couple of months.
I think that by NOT picking any women for his cabinet he is going to make sure that Hillary runs in 2016 and all the democratic women will be working overtime to ensure that she gets elected; they are going to be sore about missing out on cabinet picks that they will work overtime to ensure that they take the top spot in 2016.
Imagine the angry and vengeful women all up in arms working for “Hillary For President” in 2016. That will be a steamroller of a movement!
That will give the democrats the White House till at least 2020 and with Hillary getting relected that will be 2024.
By that time all the Tea Party folks, who are in their 50′s now will be living on their ENTITLEMENTS that they all hate so much!

Living on their entitlements, I love it!
It reminds me of my post about socialism. Which of those “socialist” things would they be willing to give up? I suspect no one here will be surprised that I have never received an answer to that question.

James,
Coming from a family of very vocal right wing nut jobs let me clarify “socialism” for you from the tea party perspective:
Its only “socialism” if a black person gets “entitlements” because they did not work and they do not deserve them.
When pushed they will also include lazy white people. But when you draw their attention to their own participation in the various socialist programs of our government they will inform you:
“THAT’s different! We earned our entitlements.”
What the right wing nut jobs want is panels to determine who is “deserving” of socialism/entitlements.
I have in-laws who have sucked at the government tit for everything, food stamps, unemployment, all the social services, medicaid, medicare, and social security (old age and disability) and you should here that bunch of right wing low lifes discuss what is wrong with liberalism.
If I really want to stir them up I make a comment of Vet Benefits being socialism too!

You remind me of my own post here about what socialism really is as compared to what Americans have been taught it is.
After listing a few things that were considered “socialist” when first proposed, I asked, “which of these are you willing to give up?” So far, no response to that question.
