On Monday evening, Piers Morgan Tonight took it’s primetime program on the road, setting up shop at Tactical Firearms, in Katy, Texas.

In continuing to address an issue that Piers Morgan considers paramount to the health and future of America, the host invited rocker Ted Nugent to provide his candid brand of energy and insight:

“I think you’re obsessed with guns,” Nugent exclaimed, questioning Morgan’s intense interest in firearms. “Ninety nine point nine nine percent of the gun owners of America are wonderful people that you are hanging around with here today. Perfectly safe. Perfectly harmless. Wonderful, loving, giving, generous, caring people. Would you leave us the hell alone!”

Saying that “this is a debate that has to be had in America,” the “Piers Morgan Tonight” host explained that he will not be leaving Nugent and his fellow firearm friends alone.

Tongue in cheek, with sarcasm dripping, Nugent noted what he sees as irony:

“You’re the perfect poster boy to stand up for the things that make no sense at all to common sense people.”

Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, as Morgan and Nugent engage in spirited debate over the depth and breadth of the Second Amendment and what necessary steps need to be taken to curb gun violence in America.

Many thanks to CNN.

Apparently, “common sense” is whatever Mr. Nugent wants to believe it is. Being detached from reality must be so comforting.

He was almost reasonable in his tone, even pleading, but he’s still an ass.

Common sense left Teddy when he was but a mere child child and has never returned.
