Congress investigating Mad Michele Bachmann

Read Time:1 Minute, 6 Second

Michele Bachmann’s downward spiral continues. The latest: Her presidential campaign is being investigated by the Office of Congressional Ethics, the Daily Beast reports in a piece comparing Bachmann to the Hindenburg and the Titanic. Did you ever read the top 10 crazy things to come out of Michele Bachmann’s mouth?

Federal investigators are looking into alleged campaign finance improprieties, and several former campaign staffers acknowledge they’ve been interviewed. The allegations of improper funds transfers and payments specifically relate to Guy Short, the campaign’s national political director, and Kent Sorenson, the Iowa campaign chairman who jumped ship and joined up with Ron Paul.

Bachmann’s campaign counsel notes, “There are no allegations that the Congresswoman engaged in any wrongdoing.” Questions about Bachmann specifically have been focused on what she knew and when, former staffers say. It’s just the latest in a series of problems for Bachmann—as John Avlon puts it, lawsuits have been “the only lasting legacy” of her campaign. He runs them down: There’s one involving an allegedly stolen email list of Christian homeschoolers, and other complaints involving staffers who say they were never paid. Avlon also gets some fun quotes from disenchanted former Bachmann staffers. Sample: “She’s the Republican Dennis Kucinich.”

Is she related to Bachman Turner Overdrive? I remember them. I know she’s got one more ‘n’ there but?

Just a thought.

Tired. Off to beddy byes now.

Silly bint.

OH! SOZ! a ‘bint’ is derogatory slang for ‘girl’….just so tha knows.

I really don’t know what will happen to this woman and her political career. The Republicans are desperate for anything and everything and their base is so nutty and fractured that apparently anything goes. After some of the lies she told during her presidential campaign I was surprised she got re-elected. But then again I thought Sarah Palin would not be relevant any longer, so what do I know.

Being an experienced politician, she’ll slide away from this and let staffers take the fall, if any.

James, it was her staffers brought this to light, because she stiffed them after running for the presidency. Along with the news that one of the GoOpers is under ethics review, it has been shown that Generalissimo Franco, like Andrew Breitbart is still taking that long dirt nap. also too, water is still wet.

I understand about the staffers. That doesn’t mean they still will not take the blame. It doesn’t mean they are responsible, it means they will take the blame, right?

I am certain that her political career is effectively over. So that’s one good thing, even though it didn’t take this to do it. She managed that just fine all by herself. 🙂

I don’t see that happening with her this time James. She is a certifiable crackpot, who is pissing off her own party. Notice she hasn’t been out there as much as she was prior to her last election. People are tired of her and will probably throw her under that bus that has a real crowd of winners under there.

You certainly could be right. In either case, I think we’ve seen the last of her someone to be taken seriously. That’s a good thing, no?

Oh most definitely, a really good thing. She is an unadulterated liar that when caught tries to change the subject. Look at this past week with the lies about the expenses the president was supposed to have and when confronted, she out and out lied that she was talking about Benghazi. She is like the rest of the idiots on the right. They get a piece of information from Drudge or Limbaugh and think it is gospel and start spreading it around to the rubes who will believe it.
