Although scripted, the words in the video are real and on point, forcing us to ask the questions: What has happened to us? Too much hate, no respect for others and their way of life and too busy to help our neighbor perhaps?  Are we brainwashed by the media and the political parties?  Do we live in fear of the ‘sky is falling,’ in a land where love and decency are often in short supply?

The fact is the politicians have sold their soul to the fat cats just to get reelected.  They are and remain in the pockets of big business. We have been hoodwinked time and again by watching the screen, instead of keeping our eyes on the men behind the curtain.  America is no longer the greatest country in the world.

“Used to be” is the key thing in the video. It has been more free if you were a WASP “White Anglo-Saxon Protestant” for those too young to be familiar with the term. Now, even that doesn’t count for much.

Wasn’t the reason the U.S. became so powerful was war profiteering in a way? WWII destroyed much Europe while the only death resulting from enemy action on our mainland was from a bomb on a balloon, so everyone needed to get in bed with Miss America to reconstruct.
Okay, technically it’s post-war profiteering, but you know what I mean.

In this case there was a war that needed to be won, unless everyone wanted to be speaking German and Japanese, so by default post war profiteering may well have been the prize. Prior to that America was a sleeping giant.
