Montana Teacher Gets Just 30 Days For Raping 14-Year Old

A teacher in Montana was found guilty of raping a troubled 14-year old girl and sentenced to only 30 days in jail, because the judge felt the girl was “older than her chronological age” and “was as much in control of the situation” as her teacher.
The girl committed suicide just before her 17th birthday which made the case hard to prosecute. Stacey Dean Rambold, 54, entered a deferred prosecution agreement—which he violated by missing sex offender treatment meetings and having unsupervised visits with minors, the Billings Gazette reports.
Rambold—who had previously been warned to avoid touching female students—targeted the troubled girl and violated his position of trust by beginning a sexual relationship with her, said prosecutors, who asked for a sentence of at least 20 years, with 10 suspended. His defense argued that he had already been punished enough by the loss of his career and his marriage. The girl’s mother, who testified that the relationship with Rambold was a “major factor” in her daughter’s suicide, screamed “You people suck!” after the sentence was announced.

No no, he did not “shag” her Norman. That would imply consensual sex, this bastard raped her and as of an hour ago, this judge is standing by his verdict saying sorry he spoke all the words that came out his mouth wrong but I’m right and the rest of you don’t know. Judge is using the republican deal of, it wasn’t a forcible rape argle bargle to defend the indefensible.

This poor soul was enticed into committing a horrendous act upon a child by the child herself. Is this judge out of his mind? This guy is a fricking teacher. He is supposed to know how to deal with children who are troubled and screwing them is not on the menu of options. I think their judicial board needs to be looking into this judge’s behavior.
Well Bill, he was put on a paid leave till it was all sorted out and he did lose his credential so there is that and I am so sorry, but having a kid kill herself is not a complication for the prosecution, it’s a complication for that little girl and her family. Srsly fuck these people, that can condone this, with rusty chainsaws sideways even.
What, no compassion for the guy that has suffered enough with his reputation being all damaged and stuff what’s the matter with you guys here. Kinda sad how the guy is now going to have his life ruined by maybe, possibly having to register as a sex offender when he was just the victim of the wily ways of a female human.** Seriously though, fuck, adults are always supposed to be the ones that act like they are adults and not take advantage of kids. I am trying to figure out which one of these men is the most disgusting the guy who you know, did the raping of a child or the goddamn judge that says, oh how he has suffered minimum jail time for him. We like to think/hope that justice is served once the perpetrator is “caught”. Not knowing the details of the case, I cannot say categorically that this is not the case here, but it certainly SEEMS that “justice is [NOT] served” here. I certainly hope that this is not the end of it! I feel so sorry for the poor woman (the mother) :-(. I’m sorry, what kind of excuse is it that “the judge felt the girl was “older than her chronological age”? The child was only alive for 14 years! Whether or not a “judge” perceives her “appearance” as being physically older, there is so much else involved! For one thing, let’s talk about the law, shall we? It is legally “inappropriate” for a teacher to MOLEST his female student, regardless of her age! And let’s talk statutory rape, shall we? Regardless of her physical appearance, THE LAW considers it rape if she is under (the particular age varies by state, but I believe that 14 qualifies in ALL states), even if she appears/acts older. I believe that part of the reason for the statutory rape law has nothing to do with physical appearance, but more with the lack of the ability to make an informed decision or choice. In any event, again without knowing the details, the appearances that the judge in this case was flat out WRONG. And the harm that’s been done to the family is irreparable 🙁
