Wolves Win Small Victory From U.S. Fish and Wildlife

After protests by the Center for Biological Diversity and others, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has just suspended the independent scientific review of the wolf delisting proposal in order to deal with criticisms that top wolf scientists had been excluded.
It’s an important victory but we still have a long fight ahead of us.
Now more than ever we know that politics, not science, is driving this proposal to strip Endangered Species Act protections from wolves. Last week, three scientists were cut out of the review process because they’d signed a letter raising serious questions about the delisting proposal.
It seems obvious that this latest ploy was an attempt to keep dissenting opinions out of the scientific peer review mandated by the Endangered Species Act. It failed, thankfully, after Center and other wolf supporters turned up the heat.
Please join the fight, as wolves, the law designed to protect them, and the scientists who know them the best are all under assault.
With your help, the Center will fight the government’s attempt to control the scientific debate. For now they’ve backtracked but clearly they’ll try anything to push through their horrific plan to strip federal protection from gray wolves.
If this plan moves ahead, it will abandon 40 years of wolf recovery work and close the door on any chance that wolves will return to places like Colorado, the Northeast and California. And, tragically, it will mean that more wolves will be hunted, trapped and killed.
This is a critical moment – we can’t let this dangerous plan move ahead.
The federal government needs to get the message that special interests don’t get to have their way. We will not permit them to twist the scientific process to get the desired political result of no more protections for wolves.

I don’t blame wolves for eating cattle or defending their home WE took their home away and dacide to build houses , farms and factories on it WOLVES ALSO HAVE THE SAME RIGHT AS WE DO WE SHARE THIS PLANET AND EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE ON THIS PLANET we don’t want wolves to be extinct as well and then people bring up the excuse of cattle or land if you are willing to build on land that belongs to the wolves then be willing to get your bum kicked because they WILL NOT LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS . i love wolves and i wish i could show you my opinion in your eyes just to see that wolves are just as beautiful as anything else.wolves are scared of us from all of this it has a 1 percent out of ten that a wolf would attack us due to terrorizing their pack or LAND !!! please just stop we have worked with wolves over 32,000 years ago without us all of our dos wouldn’t be real i say ATTACK WOLVES PREPARE TO BE ATTAKED BACK NOT ONLY BY WOLVES BUT BY All OF US AS WELL thankyou x

WHY WOULD THESE PEOPLE DO SUCH A THING! That’s terrible those wolves…. they have there own greek goddess! that tells me that there worshiped! i may only be 10 but i see this as a big problem they keep our echo system going! and those….HORRID humans feel like they have been rewarded! i just have to say that those people are sick in the mind
