Channel 4 News And The Niqab
Britain’s Chanel 4 News tonight focused on ‘The Niqab’. This is the ‘full face Bhurka’ garment that is causing controversy all over Europe. France have banned it – and rightly so in my view – and the vast majority of British would love our country to follow suit.
The interviews were mainly from young Muslim women who claimed they wanted to wear ‘the Niqab’ as they believed it was an appropriate form of expressing their views within Islam and that ‘western girls’ wearing short skirts needed to realise that their way was wrong and, frankly, a big mistake.
Guess what young Muslim girls living in Britain? – You’re living in Britain. Your views are for Islamist countries such as Iran – and I, like the vast majority of British people, have no issue with that. Our ‘issue’ is that you live here but seek to impose your views on a western democracy. You silly silly little girls.
Your views are not worthy of respect because you are HERE.
If you were in an Islamic country then fair enough but you aren’t.
How dare you suggest MY daughter should ‘cover up’. Who the hell do YOU think you are?
Britain is – and will never be – an Islamic country (and thank God or the deity of your choice for that)
These silly young women are trying to enforce Sharia law and other such unwanted things on a country that has taken them in – or possibly their parents in – and now want to change Britain into the country that they, or their parents, fled from for a better life.
Downtown Mogadishu is a hell hole by any stretch of the imagination. Most of Pakistan would cut your head off for not being a Muslim. Afghanistan needs no further comment. Egypt, along with others, fell victim to ‘The Arab Spring’ which increasingly clearly was ‘The Islamic Spring’.
You are living in Britain you silly little girls.
Either adapt and accept or bugger off to Iran or somewhere.
Islam can rise wherever it wants as long as it isn’t Britain.
The Chanel 4 News tonight gave the far right British National Party – not to mention ‘England First’ the best publicity they could have ever asked for. They didn’t mean to mind you – they merely broadcasted a true account from a number of young Muslim girls in Britain today. The BBC is often accused, quite rightly, of unacceptable bias but Chanel 4 is simply Chanel 4 and has no axe to grind.
I’m sure the ‘lefties’ of Britain would come up with some garbage – freedom of speech perhaps – to alleviate the ‘right wing’ backlash that will surely follow this ‘we have the right to cover our face’ bollocks but – but. Britain is, by definition, a ‘western democracy’ and women wandering the streets wearing ‘peek-a-boos’ (as I am apt to call them) is clearly an affront to the western world. We look each other in the eyes and, indeed, face, when we talk. We are comfortable that way and quite right too.
I’ll tell you what. In the middle of a very cold winter I’ll walk into a bank wearing a balaclava as one of these ‘Niqab’ wearers walks in alongside me.
I wonder who would be arrested?
It ain’t rocket science is it?
We live in the ‘west’. You want to live in the ‘west’? Fine. Fair enough. ADAPT.
nuff said.
Love n hugs from England xx

Norman:
1) I agree with you to a point on the niquibabwhatever issue. I think it’s just jolly if they want to play peek-a-boo with the world, but I have a SERIOUS problem when they think they have some right to expect OTHERS to kowtow to their religious fetishes.
2) I am hoping to hear that the wifey is doing well – I think of you 2 often and hope everything is improving.
Sew
2) No real change there love. I’m doing me best – well I’m doing the cooking anyroad – never made owt more than beens on toast before and no, this is nuts!! I’m onto chicken kiev and home made curries now. Sometimes she even eats what I make – which only goes to show she really IS mad as a hatter 😉
1) I probably should shut up about this but I can’t. This is MY country and I’m buggered if I’m going to respect anybody telling me what is acceptable here if I don’t like it – and I don’t – so I’ll keep on and on and on until we kick the creatures out back to Iran or somewhere. Sorry. Just me being me. x
I viewed a ‘follow up’ tonight….no change. “We are exercising our human rights” claimed the Niqab wearers…fine by me…go exercise them in Iran then.
Norman, I didn’t realize that Coco Chanel owned 1 TV station let alone 4. You are indeed privileged being entertained by one of the world’s greatest women, even though she has been dead for over 40 years. It’s obvious her devoted family have decided you are worthy of her very light touch. I am so jealous.
I missed an ‘l’? DAMN! – and I’ve an English qualification as well – I am ashamed 😉
No Norman darling, I think you missed an ‘n’, are you sure about that English qualification? I think you are spending too much time with people don’t speak English as a first language. You had better come to the USA, on second thoughts . . .
LOL LOL Jennings!
I actually agree with you Norman.
Norman I agree with you. If you live here you should adapt. No one says you have to dress exactly as others, but those outfits obscure faces, and with the violent record of Islam we need to be able to identify them just in case.
