Why Republicans Don’t Fret Over Kooks With Guns

Read Time:2 Minute, 24 Second

There are many wonderful things about being a republican. I have access to heretofore forbidden country clubs, and money is no object since my tax cuts will pay all the bills, just as the great Ronald Reagan predicted 30 years ago.

I don’t have to study treatises or read the works of Noam Chomsky to defend my positions. I just say “low taxes, less government, corporations and fetuses are people” and I’m all set for any debate with a depraved atheist liberal.

An important thing to add is the relative safety I now enjoy because kooks with guns aren’t shooting at gun rights advocates like me.  Kooks that hate President Barack Hussein Obama aren’t stalking me on social websites like they did to the sweet young lady who was the face of the ObamaCare website.  They threatened to kill her yet they call me a great American.

Every week some outraged kook that owns 200 assault rifles is arrested for threatening to shoot someone who said it would be a good idea to regulate these things.    These nuts threaten to remove legislators with bullets. But they don’t threaten my buddies Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.  They love them.  They’re real Americans who understand freedom sometimes means blowing the head off someone who thinks not everyone should have a gun.

The intent of the Founding Fathers is obvious, at least to us real Americans anyway.  It was kill anyone who tries to take our guns and keep government poor and remain free. (Yes. I know it was Ronald Reagan who said that but didn’t know who said it first but it was so profound it must have been said by a Founding Father).   Also, just because Thomas Paine thought a welfare system and pensions for the elderly were good things to fight poverty doesn’t mean he really wanted them unless they were handled by the private sector and nobody was required to participate.

In addition, just because half the Founding Fathers believed in the need for a strong central bank doesn’t mean they wanted government regulated banking system or currency. It most likely meant they wanted a bank close to where they all lived.  And they understood as long as they held to conservative principles they would be safe from the bullets of the kooks because they were real Americans.

I can disparage ObamaCare, welfare and food stamps as well as the minimum wage with no benefits. Gun club employees who are most in need of these giveaways will not shoot me because I believe they have the right to own guns.   Most of the time they nod their heads in agreement thinking it will get them a bigger tip. And just as soon as my tax cuts start working I’ll be glad to tip them.  Till then they will just have to live within their means like the rest of us.

Don’t forget it was the Patriot Palin who reminded us that Paul Revere became famous for telling the British they weren’t going to take our guns. And then there was the bit about taxation without guns being tyranny and who was it said “Give me guns or give me death?”

Who said “give me guns or give me death?” Wayne LaPierre? 🙂

No that was either John Wayne or Charleston Heston. 🙂

Both of them great Americans. Did they ever get the gun out of Charlton Heston’s cold, dead hand?

You need to rig up a “like” button on here Mike. Any time we’re reminded of the wisdom of the wonderful Sarah Palin is worthy of a like.
