Scientists Refute Obama Administration’s Anti-Wolf Claims

Barack Obama is no animal lover, nor is he enamored with the environment in general.  He is, after all, a politician first.  Since he took office he has stripped wolves in several states of their endangered species protection, and now he plans to strip those protections from all of the nation’s wolves.  This would leave them at the mercy of bloodthirsty hunters.

There just might be some hope however, for the beleaguered wolf:

On Friday top scientists announced that science doesn’t back up the Obama administration’s plan to strip Endangered Species Act protections from most wolves across the country.

The peer-review decision is a body blow to the feds’ disastrous wolf plan. In the six states where wolves have already lost protection, more than 2,600 of them have been killed in just two years; imagine the death toll if wolves lose their safety net across all states — for good.

Scientists have identified hundreds of thousands of square miles of suitable habitat in regions across the country, from the Pacific Northwest, California and the southern Rockies to New York’s Adirondacks. But wolves will never return to those native stomping grounds if the government’s intentions become reality.

“The gray wolf is one of the most iconic creatures of the American landscape and wolves play a vital role in America’s wilderness and natural heritage,” said Pamela Flick, California representative of Defenders of Wildlife.

Yeah, I hate to admit it but I am disappointed in him also.

I gave up on Obama when he settled for a watered down health care and didn’t even support his own congress during the ACA fight. His ridiculous idea to work to lift the ban on whaling was another shot over the bow of those working to improved our environment.

I’m no longer a big Obama fan. He came in with a bang and will go out with a whimper. His legacy will be ObamaCare and being the first black president. Other than that he’s just another politician.

As you said, he is a politician first and will always do what is expedient politically.
