An Elk Goes To The Office

An elegant young elk reported for work at a German office building Monday, and stayed there for several hours before being saved.
The elk occupied the Dresden office “largely calmly,” according to police reports, hanging out in a cafe foyer. Police suspect the elk migrated to Dresden from Poland or the Czech Republic.
After being carefully tranquilized, the elk was removed from the building by police and staff from the Dresden zoo. It won’t reside there, though — a zoo spokesperson told The Guardian that the zoo’s fencing “is not high enough” for the 1,700-pound elk.
