Dumbasses: You Cannot Charge Your iPhone 6 In the Microwave

They must be Republicans, or at the least Tea Baggers, those folks who think you can charge your iPhone 6 in the microwave and that’s why you bought it.
So here goes: we’re going to say what should be unnecessary: You cannot charge your iPhone in the microwave. Or, as victims of the latest scam from the darlings at 4Chan have found, you can try, but the results won’t be much better than sticking it in your pocket and sitting on it. The hoax is billed as “Wave,” reports Mashable, an apparent “iOS8 exclusive” in which you purportedly charge your phone “wirelessly through microwave frequencies … using any standard household microwave.” The slick-looking ad for Wave, which has been making the rounds on Twitter and Reddit, helpfully recommends “60 seconds at 700W or 70 seconds at 800W.”
It’s completely unknown how many suckers fell for Wave, but Mashable notes that “photos of fried iPhones and burned microwaves” are circulating. And apparently enough of them that the LAPD got in on the action, reports the LA Times.“This #Wave capability is a #hoax. Don’t be fooled into microwaving your #iPhone6. #Apple #Smartphone,” they tweeted. Meanwhile, angry Apple users with crispy iPhones aren’t the only ones torqued at 4Chan: Celebrities are apparently firing back, too.

There seems to be an appalling absence of common sense in current generations, which when coupled with an equally abysmal lack of mechanical aptitude serve as one more example of the age old truism: You can’t fix stupid!
And while we are at it, what the hell did people expect would happen if they kept their phone in tight pants pockets? It is a thin plastic case on a thin, lightweight, soft aluminum frame and filled with some printed circuit boards and miniature electronic components for cripe’s sake! It ain’t cast iron!
But then again, given the absence of real world experience had by so many of today’s brightest digital whiz kids, not many would not know the difference!

Do you want me to actually list all the reasons why this won’t work? Anybody who’s stupid enough to fall for this, deserves whatever they get. I have a friend who has suggested that the court system begin using a “Doubling Dye” policy. In essence, each criminal would not only get his sentence, but get years added on, based on a roll of the dice, as a factor of how stupid the poor schmuck is.
For example, the guy who used his own deposit slip at his own branch, to write his bank robbery note on. That guy would get the normal sentence for bank robbery, plus an unspecified number of years, for being bag o’ hammers stupid.
anybody dumb enough to put a 600 dollar electronic gadget into a microwave oven, deserves hard time. On the other hand, it is an iPhone, so maybe the nuker is the best place for it.
