If You Want To Lose Weight Keep Eating Fats

Read Time:1 Minute, 40 Second

Losing weight is hard, and I know, because I’ve been working on it for the last year.  Fortunately, I have a lot of help, including a supportive companion, and some excellent professional advice. Not everyone has these advantages however, so what do they do? There’s all sorts of fad diets and others that can help you lose weight, but when you get off of them the weight comes right back. So, keeping your weight down requires lifestyle changes, and they start with what you eat.

From Newser:

If you’re trying to lose weight on a low-fat diet and it’s not working, here’s why. Refined carbohydrates—found in processed foods like white breads, white rice, and pastas—tend to be loaded with sugar, which messes with our metabolisms, making it harder to burn calories. Eating nearly half your calories via healthy fats, on the other hand—think salmon, avocados, nuts, and vegetable oils—has been shown in a recent study to result in twice as much weight loss as seen in those assigned to low-fat diets.

“It’s a double-whammy for weight gain,” one researcher tellsNPR. “We’ve been told for decades that if you don’t want fat on your body, don’t put fat into your body. It’s a very appealing notion, but the problem is it’s wrong.” What’s more, the researchers say there was no increase in total or bad cholesterol between the groups, which has been feared would be the case in higher-fat diets, reports Reuters. It remains unclear precisely why people on lower-carb diets not only lost more weight but had lower heart disease risk factors. It’s something the researchers say will need to be studied more and for longer than the one-year period of this investigation. (Welcome back, butter—even saturated fats might not be as bad as once thought.)

If you want to know the real scientific truth about obesity, either go to http://www.amazon.com and order a copy of the 1982 book, THE DIETER”S DILEMMA.

Or just google the words “diets fail, genes take over.”

There is a reason why losing weight is very hard for fat people, why diet programs like WEIGHT WATCHERS have a high failure rate, and why at the other extreme, there are people who never gain weight now matter what, or how much they eat.

It is because being fat or thin is not caused by how much or little a person eats, but because of what genes one inherits.

When fat people try to lose weight with diet and exercise programs, because of the obesity genes they have inherited. their bodies slow their metabolisms, until all of the lost weight returns.

But, on the other hand there are model trim people, who because they were lucky enough to inherit the right genes, eat the equivalent of a chocolate-covered elephant everyday and never gain a single pound!
I rage with envy for such people!

This also explains why even people who have had bypass surgeries in efforts to lose weight, still regain the weight they lost after surgery.

At this point in time there is only one, safe guaranteed way to be thin: have thin parents!

I am all for efforts to save endangered species, save rain forests, fight global warming, and other environmental efforts.

But, I am against the animal rights movement because medical research absolutely needs the use of live animals in experiments to advance medical progress. You should visit the website of AMERICANS FOR MEDICAL PROGRESS, after reading my comment.

But, you may ask what does this have to do with how I have explained why dieting does not work to cure obesity?

Scientists are already using mice in medical experiments to delete the obesity gene. These experiments mean there is hope that a real cure for obesity may happen someday.

But, I am outraged that whenever this good news of a possible real cure for obesity has been posted on the internet, there are many replies by ignorant people who are against this obesity medical research, because they wrongfully accuse it of being cruel to the mice. In other words, there many idiots who just cannot understand that the lives of people struggling with the genetic disease of obesity, are more important than the lives of laboratory mice!
