Official Autopsy Report Supports Wilson’s Claim of Close Combat with Brown

Read Time:1 Minute, 13 Second

The official St. Louis County autopsy of Michael Brown, shot by officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9, indicates the Ferguson teen was shot at close range in the hand. The new report supports Wilson’s claim that there was a significant altercation at the car, St. Louis medical examiner Michael Graham tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

He added that the report showed Brown’s tissue was found on the exterior of Wilson’s squad car on the driver’s side, which “fits with everything else that came out. There’s blood in the car, now skin on the car, that shows something happened right there.” The autopsy’s toxicology report also says that Brown had marijuana in his system.

Although the typical powder burns that would appear near a close-range wound weren’t found, the new autopsy findings say that tests on tissue near Brown’s thumb wound show matter “consistent with products that are discharged from the barrel of a firearm.” Graham adds that a really close-range injury—”within an inch or so”—might not show powder burns. Another forensic pathologist from San Francisco says the autopsy “supports the fact that this guy is reaching for the gun, if he has gunpowder particulate material in the wound”; she also says that the trajectory of the sixth bullet indicated that “Brown probably was not taking a standard surrender position,” as the Post-Dispatch puts it. An independent third autopsy called for by the Justice Department is still pending.

Withholding judgment.

Perhaps forever…

I’m not convinced that we will ever get an unbiased view of what actually happened…

Marsha..of course we will. Why would you say that?

Oh, basic cynicism perhaps!
We still have debate about the JFK killing (despite the fact that we have done huge amounts of research, and my own conviction is that there was absolutely no conspiracy involved…)
And then we have to hold the OJ Simpson thing, on which there are credible discussions on both sides; there had been 2 opposite decisions by juries;…
I can have an opinion, but that doesn’t mean that there is any unbiased information out there…

I agree with you that there isn’t unbiased information out there. As to OJ I’ve never, ever seen more evidence in a criminal case, particularly a double homicide. His acquittal was a classic example of jury nullification. With regard to JFK he was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald who was in turn killed by Jack Ruby. End of story…in my humble opinion of course.

What?!! NO mention of Dr. Biden’s autopsy. I am Shocked, shocked I say!!
Oh, the teen had pot in his system? Wait, wasn’t he the victim? Oh, right, he was a poc so he should be drug tested.
The murdering cop, since he’s white like that other killer from Sanford, we don’t drug test them.

I think it’s a Federal law. Drug test any victim whom is killed by a white person, if they are not white..
If victim is white and killer is poc, then we drug test the killer but not the victim.
That is how we do it here in racist America.

The weather is going to get really nasty in Ferguson once the GJ report is released. The demonstrators don’t want the truth; they want to hear their version of the truth.
