I much prefer local restaurants to national franchises. Here we have a local sub franchise called Cousins that has Subway beat a mile. When it comes to pizza, a family-owned place called Lisa’s is my choice for delivery and Pizza Man for restaurant service.
Cousin’s isn’t even listed on the Grellin site, and since all they do list seem to be national or regional franchise joints, any restaurant I do patronize isn’t likely to be on their list.
Panda Express, REALLY. Quantity not quality is their motto. In n Out was robbed.
Never eaten at one and don’t plan to. I was also surprised by Subway. It’s not bad food, but it’s hardly “good.”
Never had the desire to eat at Subway. Even when I was eating meat, my go to place was either La Bou or Togos or the little cheesesteak place in the village by me and In n Out. Way more sandwich for the money. Subway is all miserly with their meat. I don’t think you guys have In n Out where you are, methinks it’s a CA thing.
Yeah. I didn’t see Panda Express on there. They’re the ones who can be seen in every food court in every mall in the country. The only thing actually Chinese about their food, is where the “fresh” vegetables are shipped from. Via slow pony, near as I can tell.
Only time you go to Panda Express is when everything else is closed, you’ve eaten your closest friends and their families. That is some nasty shit they serve up and try to call it food.
How ’bout a Web site called “SpandexBusters.com?” We could evaluate a restaurant’s quality by the number of tubbos standing at the counter. 🙂
Oh, MadMike. You know I’m gonna weigh in on this one, right? Let’s start with Au Bon Pain. Awful lot of white flour and sugar in that stuff. Sure, it’s better than Mickey Dees, but then so is eating a bullet. ABP sells a little “mini-baguette” they call the “Petit Pain.” I went in and asked them once, if the little ones are Petit Pain,” then are the big ones total agony?” They didn’t get it.
If you want to eat well, cook your own food from carefully selected raw ingredients. Use stuff labeled as non-GMO, meats from happy critters (if you must eat flesh – which sadly, I do), avoid white flour and starch vegetables, and seek to not only limit calories, but avoid empty calories.
You can name a Web site after any hormone you choose. I’m still sticking with the food I make myself.
And I’m still avoiding places like Au Bon Pain and Panera Bread, like the plague.
I love you. That is all
🙂 Now THAT made my day! 🙂
The only one I have tried is Subway. It can depend on where it is located. I go to one in Selma and do a double meat and cheese of the Black Forest ham Pepper Jack cheese. That is usually two meals for me by the time they throw all the veggies on it.
