How Tony Blair Saved The Children With Hypocrisy

Read Time:3 Minute, 55 Second

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is not the most hated living person in Britain but he is pretty high up on the list. Ian Brady of 1960’s moors murders infamy beats him as does serial killer and so called ‘Yorkshire Ripper’ Peter Sutcliffe. A couple of Muslim ‘hate preachers’ were clearly ahead of Blair in the ‘hated’ stakes too but, as they have, finally, been removed from our shores, ‘Call me Tony’ has moved up a few notches in the ‘Hate Hit List’ of the majority of British people. So? What did ‘good old Tony’ do to be so high up on a British ‘hate list’ then? He lied. He lied not just to Parliament – which lots of politicians do anyway – but he lied to us, the British people. He sold us a war that was as unjust as it was illegal by knowingly lying and, as a result, shoulders all of the responsibility not only for untold British military deaths but untold Iraqi children’s deaths too.

The world wide charity ‘Save The Children’ have, unbelievably, decided to bestow an award on Tony ‘warmonger’ Blair for work he has apparently done in saving children in West Africa primarily. It is becoming increasingly apparent that the British people couldn’t care less whether Tony has done anything good regarding child saving in West Africa. His responsibility for causing an illegal war in Iraq in order to unseat Saddam Hussein is still very raw in the British public’s mind, as a result of the bizarre decision by the ‘Save The Children’ charity it is likely that their charitable donations are about to reduce from Britain’s shores dramatically.

I have often found it amazing that Blair seems to be quite well liked in the USA. I have asked so many people over here in Blighty why they think Blair seems quite well liked in America and all I ever receive is either a look of bewilderment or  comments such as “Oh, the Americans haven’t a clue have they?” and, I must admit, in the case of Blair – if you happen to be an American who thinks well of him – then, clearly, you haven’t a clue.

On the other hand, perhaps lying, cheating, war mongering, self delusional, self opinionated, self publicising scum bags are on the ‘up’ in the USA? I have no idea. You tell me.

It appears that the American branch of ‘Save The Children’ had some influence regarding Blair being put forward for this award. Again, I have no idea whether this is true but, if it is, it merely underlines that ‘Blair loving American’s really don’t have any idea of quite how reprehensible this man is.

Currently, well over 100,000 people (and rising) have signed a petition denouncing ‘Save The Children’ for offering this award to Blair. Supporters of ‘Save The Children’ including comedian Dom Joly have withdrawn their support for the charity. The charity’s Facebook page has been deluged with a veritable flood of critical messages.

Blair’s director of political operations from 2005 to 2007, John McTernan, has suggested that the criticism is an attack on ‘Save The Children’ and not Blair. Excuse me? The criticism is purely, and justifiably, aimed at a self centred hypocritical ass hole called Tony Blair. Any ‘attack’ on the charity itself is merely a confirmation that they have clearly ‘lost the plot’ if they think having anything what so ever to do with Blair is a good idea.

The tragedy is, that through the stupidity of ‘those in charge’ at ‘Save The Children’ their donations will reduce dramatically and, therefore, their ability to ‘save the children’ will reduce.

Almost ironic that Blair can still fuck it all up even when he isn’t lying, cheating and being a scum bag. It only takes the mention of his name and the British cringe in embarrassment and wonder why and how we ever elected this creature as our Prime Minister. Even Thatcher pales into insignificance when the name ‘Tony Blair’ is mentioned in Blighty.

Save The Children Chief Executive, Jasmine Whitbread, claimed the award to Blair had “gone down well in the USA and other countries” but admitted that “we have seen concerns raised elsewhere in the world” – that would be Britain then would it? The country that will forever be unreservedly sorry that through our own stupidity, we are responsible for this creature called Tony Blair.

On behalf of all reasonably sane British people, I apologise.

I’m waiting for the spirit of Alexander VI to move the Vatican’s bureaucracy and cut through the silly rules such as being dead and performing miracles to canonise Tony Blair now. I’m sure if need-be, a suitable donation from his fund for Drawing All Faiths Together (acknowledgements to Private Eye) would be forthcoming so we can all see the apotheosis of St Tony in the next year or so.

Is it possible that I detect a faint trace of sarcasm in your post?

No, I’m sure that’s just my cynical nature intruding upon a truly heartfelt, honest plea for social justice for one of the great leaders of our time.

Mile, where IS that sarcasm font we discussed? At least a set of special quotation-type marks we can all recognize.

You really are a stupid ignorant man. Your vile comments are so wrong. That is why Tony Blair was given this award you silly man. I would remind you that he won three elections too ! Remember Kosova and Sierra
Leone?

As for the Falklands more service people were killed and wounded in a matter of weeks than in all the Iraq years. Also the Conservative government supported the invasion to get rid of a murdering dictator who killed thousands of his own people.

I am English by the way and disagree with everything this man says and he doesn’t speak for everyone only his own type! He writes all this garbage trying to sound as if he speaks for the UK – he doesn’t !

Calm down dear! dearie me…you have got your knickers in a twist haven’t you…now…breathe deeply…there we go….better now?

Look Anon. I respect your views – which clearly differ to mine – but let’s discuss this calmly shall we?

1) I’m a stupid ignorant man : Quite possibly but, as you have never met me in person you aren’t in a position to say hence I would not cast the same aspersion on you.
2) Vile comments? Tony Blair caused an illegal war in Iraq – that’s not even in dispute really. What’s vile about the truth?
3) I am aware he won 3 elections – quite what Kosova or Sierra Leone have to do with that is something of a mystery to me.
4) More service personnel were killed in the Falklands. I have no idea. I will bow to your knowledge on that. The Iraq war was caused by Blair and Bush. The Falklands War by Argentina. We had no choice regarding The Falklands apart from backing down to a cowardly fascist regime. Blair gave us no choice in Iraq.
5) You are quite entitled to disagree with everything I say and I have never claimed to speak for anyone but myself – I happen to be aware that, I suspect, the majority of people would probably, generally, agree with me but I have no hard evidence to support that so I speak for me.

Question. What is ‘my own type’? I’m curious but, before you answer Anon, please take a deep breath eh? You’ll have a heart attack ranting like that 😉

As I expected a patronising reply!
Well norm old boy (old git) I suspect you are a very small man in every way (think Penny Mordaunt)!
Breathe deeply now!

1. The comments you make prove it.

2. You are vile saying Tony Blair can compare to vile murderers ie Ian Brady. You are sick in the head.

3. You are ignorant then.

4. We had no need to go to the Falklands should have given the people a £million to leave and I bet they would have taken it. At least we got rid of a murderous dictator who killed hundreds of thousands in Iraq.

5. You stated the majority of British people hate Tony Blair.

I think you are the ranter I was merely responding to your rant..

You’ve said what your type is you support UKIP and call your wife ‘wifey’ – enough said!

Incidentally…a TV advert for ‘Save The Children’ has suddenly appeared on our British TV screens showing footage of children in distress to pull at the heart (purse) strings.

Methinks they know they’ve fucked up big time.

You didn’t know? Tony B.Liar is the robotic clone of George W. Bush. Or maybe it is the other war around. No matter, they marched in lockstep to s non-existent drummer.

“Lots of politicians lie?” Think seriously and find us one that does not lie. Just one will do.

er……um…….er…….

Quite.

Wait! Thatcher didn’t lie! She said “I’m going to screw the north of England into the ground and destroy all hope in that far away place” – and she did.

Well, she may not have actually said it quite like that or, come to think about it, said it at all….but she tried 😉

Of course, she told no lies about the “necessity” of the Falkland Islands nonsense, did she?

For less than she spent, all of the people there could have been relocated to sheep ranches anywhere else in the world. The Argies would have been happy, the rancher’s richer, and no one need have died.

It’s always been a mystery to me why anyone would want to live there if they didn’t have to.

For that matter, why did Argentina even care? I’d have shrugged and said, “Those Brits are loco (daft) anyway.”

AH! Now. The Falklands. Yes. Different story. Regarding The Falklands Thatcher had 100% support from all true Brits – not that we ‘wanted’ war but it had to be ‘choice 1 you leave’ or ‘choice 2 we mullah you’ as far as Argentina was concerned.

Thatcher and/or Britain didn’t start The Falklands War, Argentina – or rather their fascist dictatorship at the time, did.

I quite agree it is tragic anyone had to die over The Falkland Islands but we’ll do it again if Argentina ‘do it again’ and damn right too!

As it happens, Argentina never did want The Falklands until A) their economy went tits up and B) Galtieri wanted something to take their minds of the shit they were in and nationalism worked.

They will try again you know….eventually. We will kick their asses again when they do as well.
