Wacky Catholics Condemn Brittany Maynard’s Assisted Suicide

Read Time:1 Minute, 10 Second

Oh those crazy Catholics!  They’re at it again telling the world how to behave and condemning behavior that doesn’t fit their narrow vision of the world according to Jesus and the Bible. Not satisfied with renting the U.S. Supreme Court they are now trying to influence state laws.

The Vatican has made its views on Brittany Maynard’s death very clear: The decision to end her own life was “reprehensible,” says the Vatican’s bioethics chief. “Assisted suicide is an absurdity,” Monsignor Ignacio Carrasco de Paula tells ANSA. As for Maynard’s support for Oregon’s Death With Dignity law, he notes, “dignity is something other than putting an end to one’s own life.”

The official says he’s not judging Maynard herself, “but the gesture in and of itself should be condemned,” CBS News reports. Suicide, he says, “is a wicked thing, because it is saying no both to one’s own life and to everything which signifies respect for our mission in this world and toward those closest to us,” AFP reports via the Business Standard.

Putting aside the nonsensical claptrap of religion Brittany Maynard’s actions were brave and compassionate.  She is to be applauded not condemned.

I just wish everybody had this same choice she had. I would use it in a heartbeat if I was so ill and dying. We had it on the ballot in 07 but the tian** freaks came out the woodwork and you know the rest. they may take another run at it in 2016.

**I’m not calling them Christians anymore, since they are so far removed from this Christ person they don’t deserve to be called that.

If my chemo hadn’t worked, I decided along with my mom we would use the European laws and move to Belgium or Switzerland since they had laws on the books for years and years when I was going through it. I wouldn’t have thought twice about it, knowing how cancer destroys the body. I do not want to die like that at all, being poisoned from the inside out and losing the quality of life I have. Nope, not for me.

Now why are people leaving the Catholic Church again? Must be some reason.

AYUP, kiddie diddling and making it hard for women to be people and not allowing the priests to get their freak on Joe are but a few reasons. Hope this helps 🙂

Religion being used by scumbags again. Tragic loss of a lovely young lady with extraordinary courage and dignity.

If there is an after life of some sort she damn well deserves paradise more than the religious who condemn her do.
