Jim Jefferies: My Kind Of Comedian

Nothing is taboo. Absolutely nothing. The ‘F’ word proliferates. The ‘C’ word pops up regularly. The point is, nothing is taboo and everything is on show. Jim Jefferies can make you cringe and, I suspect, he will. The thing is, the audience are ‘with him’. They are laughing at what he says even though what he says is sometimes almost unbelievable. Maybe that’s the point.
He couldn’t give a rat’s ass (that’s an Australian saying by the way) for political correctness nor morality. Is he really drunk? No idea. I suspect not but neither do I care. This guy is, to use an awful Americanism, ‘awesome’.
Quite possibly, you will hate him and want to kill him or something. Well, if you do then you are clearly not a believer in ‘freedom of speech’.
His act is undoubtedly seen as obscene by some, racist by some and / or completely unacceptable by some. Tough.
You can chose not to watch or listen to him by all means but you are an enemy of ‘freedom of speech’ if you believe he should be banned.
Please don’t be offended by watching this. How can you be? I have warned you after all! If you chose to watch this then don’t come crying to me. You made your choice so live with it!
If this guy had a northern English accent instead of an Australian accent and I was a stand up comedian he would be me – or, rather, I would be him.
Did you listen to the above performance? Am I in trouble now? No I’m bloody not! I did warn you! If you are too dumb to listen to my warnings then don’t bloody well tell me it’s so wrong you should have listened to me and not bloody well listened to it!
It’s hardly my fault if you are a dick head who won’t take sensible advice is it?
If you listened and laughed then you are my kind of person. Life can be such a shit you know – well, it can especially if you live in a mud hut in Africa and are dying of Aids or Ebola or something – let’s face it, it can’t get much worse than that can it?
Well, it possibly can I suppose. You might be an Arab Christian getting your head chopped off on a beach – and we thought the Germans nicking all the sun beds was as bad as it got on a beach didn’t we?
You might be a Christian who believes in heaven and hell and so forth. If you are you really shouldn’t watch the next bit you know. It might give you palpitations or something.
Anyway. You have been admirably warned so take your pick Christian.
Jim Jeffries is Australian. Personally I couldn’t care less where he’s from basically because he’s from our planet and he couldn’t care less what you think of him. he talks his talk and walks his walk and it’s up to you whether you want to walk his way.
By all means be offended if you will but think on. Freedom of speech is ‘freedom of speech’. If you want to say there is a line drawn that says promoting hatred and violence is beyond ‘freedom of speech’ I reckon you are quite right and, I reckon, Jim Jeffries would agree.
He doesn’t do that. He takes the piss out of anything and anybody and for that, I am eternally grateful

Jim Jefferies has become my favorite comedian but I still miss George Carlin. I have all of Carlin’s DVD’s and would love to get Jefferies DVD’s. If anyone knows offhand where I can get them, please let me know!

How could he offend me? He didn’t say a single word or express anything I have not said many times. Hmmm, could that be why some people have said that I am obnoxious and insulting? As he said, I use facts and many people hate facts and those that use them because facts never support their favorite delusions.
FYI, “Don’t give a rat’s ass” is a very common American expression, too. No wonder we like those Aussies so much. 🙂
I wonder where that comes from – Don’t give a rats ass? I mean, what would you be doing with a rats ass in the first place? Why wouldn’t you want to give one and, more to the point, why would you?
