Democrats Lose Backbone Again Over Clinton Email Kerfuffle

Read Time:1 Minute, 44 Second

Democrats are well known for eating their young.  Unlike the Republicans, Democrats have little sense of loyalty, and can rarely agree on anything, even if such agreement would be beneficial to the country and the party.  Jumping ship is no longer a rarity among Dems, it’s a common practice.

A good example of Democratic ‘wimpery’ is when they pretty much ran the entire government after the 2008 election. There was a Democrat in the White House, and both the congress and senate were owned by the Left, and yet they barely accomplished anything beyond ObamaCare, and that was a squeaker because of the Blue Dogs.  Suffice to say the people took notice and in 2010 they booted them out and the Republicans took over the Congress.

Now here comes Hillary Clinton, the Democrats’ only chance for keeping the White House in 2016, but the folks on the Left don’t seem to know it.  The Republicans, however, are keenly aware, and are taking steps to make sure that doesn’t happen, with the latest eMail kerfuffle being a good example.

A new poll of 2,128 adults shows Democrats’ support for Clinton as the Democratic nominee has fallen 15 points since mid-February.  Support among Democrats likely to vote in the party nominations fell to a little over 50%.  A separate poll for CNN, however, shows 57% of Americans would be happy with Clinton in the Oval Office, unless the Democrats continue to distance themselves.

The Democrats, instead of rallying around their potential winning nominee, are shaking their heads and throwing stones at their only savior.  The leadership and much of the rank and file is scrambling about trying to find a candidate other than Hillary, a candidate who, however admirable such as an Elizabeth Warren, or Joe Biden, simply cannot win in 2016.  Now wouldn’t it be simpler to stand behind Clinton, fighting nonsensical Republican allegations at every turn?  Clearly not. Loyalty isn’t a Democrat’s strong suit, nor is good political sense.  Put quite simply the Democrats have lost their backbone.  Maybe they left it on the ship.

Is it just me or are your political parties so out of touch with you that you are starting to feel disenfranchised?

Just wondering. You could be in Britain!

This is the reason I never want to be identified as a democrat. I am ashamed of the party itself and the people who claim to be its leaders. The only positive thing about the Republicans is their brand loyalty. They may fight among themselves but they will fight any outsiders who attack one of theirs no matter how stupid. Democrats, on the other hand stick up their fingers to see which way the wind is blowing and then meekly speaks something that won’t cause controversy.

Dems always clutching defeat from the jaws of victory. they need to be harping about Bush and Walker doing the same thing with their emails and more.

Democrats have lost their way. The silly “progressive” movement tore the party apart, and now no one knows which is up. It’s rather like the Tea Party and the republicans.

It’s beyond me how the Democrats can allow others to turn a non-issue – the Clinton email – into an issue! There was no law broken (the email law came into effect after the was no longer Secretary of State), and any email that DID go to anyone else in government, is already on their servers!
Grrrr!

Both parties suffer from followers that want to be leaders. Everybody wants to rule the world Mike. And when they don’t get their way they take their ball and go home.
LBJ understood this all too well. He enforced loyalty. Since then it just hasn’t happened. Unions are asgainst other unions. The Firefighters endorsed rabid anti union Scott Walker for governor.

I was hoping my example of being s good follower here despite my obvious qualifications and personality to lead MMA would help the Dems understand loyalty and teamwork. That hasn’t worked so far. Dems are where they were when GW Bush was elected. No message. No leadership. A hodgepodge of kooks and dogooders nobody outside the most avid viewers of MSNBC listen to. All they can do is wait till republicans screw up so bad the voters have no choice but to vote democrat. Just like in 2008. I know how to fix this but as I said, everybody wants to rule the world. The horde would rather live in the anarchy of hope and change and a well presented Obama speech than get in line with a vision and people that can turn it into message, discipline and victory.
