Rescuers Save Boys Trapped By Rattlesnake
Rattlesnakes can be deadly and it’s best to avoid them, and their habitat, wherever possible. Some locales even offer classes on snake avoidance for you and your dog. Occasional conflict, however, is inevitable.
Authorities in Nevada guided two cousins around a rattlesnake and out of a mine shaft near Lake Mead after they reported being trapped inside by the snake.
The cousins, ages 19 and 12, emerged unhurt after they were instructed to hug an opposite wall to move past the coiled snake in the Ore Car Mine.
Rangers from Lake Mead National Recreation Area and federal Bureau of Land Management officers were called to the scene, along with Las Vegas police and Henderson firefighters. The teens had called for help, saying the rattler was blocking their exit.
Cruel “roundups” are conducted in several states including Alabama and Georgia where people are encouraged to kill and torture the snakes.

I highly doubt that the rattlesnake had intentionally trapped them. More than likely the snake was in the cave to hide and was disturbed by the boys. On the other hand perhaps he was holding them hostage for 20 rats. 🙂
LOL! Yep. That’s it. Holding them hostage 🙂
