Chattanooga Shooter Texts Koran Verse Before Murderous Attack
The Chattanooga killer, Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, sent a strange text message to a friend hours before the attack that said he wanted revenge on the US for its role in the Middle East, reports Reuters.
The message links to a verse in the Koran that reads in part, “Whosoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, then I have declared war against him.”
Authorities knew Abdulazeez spent months in Jordan last year, and the friend says he returned angry about Mideast conflicts and, as Reuters puts it, “the reluctance of regional governments and the United States to intervene.”
It’s not known at this time whether the attack was inspired or directed by ISIS or other terrorist group, but many experts, both in and out of the government, believe that it was, and have classified the killings as terrorist inspired attacks. The fifth victim died today of wounds inflicted by Abdulazeez.

My question is: Why did this attack happen in Chattanooga and why now?
The attack from an ISIS activated shooter in Chattanooga, TN on July 16 was in response to a federal court decision on July 3 concerning Robert Doggart. He lives in Chattanooga, He was given house arrest for planning to bomb Islamic neighborhood. The Islamic world was shocked by the lenient sentence.
The shooter in Chattanooga was not a “lone wolf.” He was activated. by some Islamic terrorist group. Doggart served in the Navy. The attacks were against the Naval Center.
The shooter was “spotted stomping around in the thick, overgrown woods behind his home with an unfamiliar friend,” days before the shooting. The shooter sent this message through Twitter to a friend quoting a Islamic sacred text: “Whosoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, then I have declared war against him.”
This attack was a message from the terrorists to the Islam community in USA: we have your back.
