Rescued Crocodile Refuses To Leave Best Friend Rescuer
Twenty years ago a giant crocodile was wounded by a farmer and left to die on the banks of the River Parasmina in Costa Rica. Fortunately for the great beast Chito Shedden came along.
Chito decided to rescue him and has spent the last decade or so taking care of the crocodile. When finally it was time to let him go, the animal refused to move away.
Chito, in a pickle as to what to do, asked permission from the Ministry of Environment to hold the bulky animal with him at “home” and the two have since become inseparable.

I saw this last year on National Geographic and it is indeed amazing. Crocodiles were long thought not to be much on thinking have proven people wrong. Latest studies have found that they show a lot more intelligence that we once thought. They are capable of remember specific things and people. Even so, This guy has a lot more faith than I would.
Amazing! Incredible! Wonderful! Magnificent! etc et al!
Why can’t I stop thinking “Grizzly Adams?”
Yes, this crocodile may be an anomaly due to the brain damage that he suffered when younger, but we humans (including I) are still constantly, and probably incorrectly, amazed at how much there is to nonhuman animals! We think that we are the only ones able to have any feelings for others, and yet, the other animals have managed to survive for up to millions of years! It can’t all be based on lone self-interest unconnected with all others!
