Why Our Resident Republican Thinks Cenk Uyger Will Help Pick the Next President

Read Time:2 Minute, 29 Second

Apparently there is a love affair between liberals and Cenk Uyger.  Cenk had a rant or something, I didn’t watch it, I just read about it in an article from MadMike,  a man who earned respect through his character and life he’s led.

Young-Turks-Cenk-Uygur

Cenk called the confederate flag a symbol of terrorists and traitors.  Let me explain this to you young man: the confederate flag is nothing more than a decoration.  You would no doubt defend the right of some idiot to wear a t-shirt proclaiming allegiance to Ozzy Osbourne or atheism or the Chicago Cubs.  Naturally you would be offended by a shirt or flag with a picture of Jesus but I suppose you, even in your quest to be a liberal hero, would swallow your longing to piss off anything that may identify as moral and even support that.

Bigots have all kinds of symbols they can use to identify themselves as bigots.  White sheets or whatever. FDR’s image is on the dime and he interred thousands of Americans of Japanese heritage during WWII. Ban him as well.

The confederate flag may be displayed by bigots but what it symbolizes to millions is they like fishing, beer and whiskey, scantily clad chicks eating a hamburger in a racy Hardees’ commercial and Nascar.  In addition these are the guys who volunteered for the military and fought in two wars that most in our hearts knew were wrong but Uncle Sam needed people to serve and the bigger ideal was serving one’s country.

I fully agree the confederate flag should not fly over a government building. Our Nation is represented by the Stars and Stripes.  But just as the vast majority of Blacks and Latinos are decent people who care about their families and our Country, most confederate flag displayers are good people also.  Calling what for them is a decoration traitorous will only push them deeper into the republican party’s fold.   And it won’t be long before Donald Trump wraps himself in a confederate flag and it takes him to the nomination and presidency.

For the record I like fishing and beer. I don’t own a confederate flag and most likely never will. It doesn’t fit in with my décor.  The people who say “it represents a way of life” hopefully are referring to beer, fishing, Nascar and hot chicks or the education system they went through was a miserable failure. Lets fix that rather than repeat what all the other liberal commentators have to say about a flag. Not that that isn’t good propaganda dissemination.

Understand, my republican side beats the same talking points every day.  It works cause we are selling patriotism, family and whatever else the base wants to hear, and if we get the zealots and bigots to vote for us more the better.  But we get them to vote. So does Cenk Uygur now. But for our candidates.

Thanks Cenk.

Looks to me like someone needs a sense of humor. It’s clearly satire to me, and this is MadMikesAmerica. You’re not going to find anyone over here liking the confederate flag.

Let me get this straight: Joe writes Ozzy Osbourne, scantily clad chicks, NASCAR, fishing and beer and someone doesn’t think it’s satire when it’s in the same sentence as the confederate flag? Good grief.

As satire; this failed totally!

I disagree. When people see satirical articles as real, that is the mark of a good satirist. Secondly, he’s been writing such pieces for us for years, and he has a dedicated cadre of readers who know better than to take him seriously.

Isn’t language beautiful… Got it. ‘MadMikesAmerica’ is trying to be provocative. Got it.

“Let me explain this to you young man: the confederate flag is nothing more than a decoration.”

Yes. Just like the swastika. The swastika, like the confederate flag is about heritage and honor; about celebrating the soldiers who fought so bravely.

BULLSH!T. And you know it.

Today, for those who wear the confederate flag and the swastika do so to show their contempt to authority and hatred for those who do not agree with them. The confederate flag and the swastika are symbolic of hate and violence.

Your trying to make up moral equivalent gibberish to make excuses for the reprehensible behavior and actions of those who use the confederate flag and the swastika is bullsh!t.

Ema this is satire. The author of the piece is our resident satirist and a big fan of Cenk and The Young Turks. He’s just having fun.
