Greedy Low Wage Employees To Blame For Walmart’s Poor Financial Report
Imagine the sadness of my fellow republicans when Walmart announced it’s financials and it’s stock price plummeted. My good friends the Walton family lost billions. It was totally unfair and the blame goes to all the greedy moochers that Walmart was forced by public opinion, political correctness, and Emperor Obama to pay higher wages.
The math is simple. Pay a half million moochers who are only there out of the goodness of the Walton family hearts an extra dollar 40 hours a week. Granted not that many work 40 hours a week but for the sake of the math and showing how unfair this is to the wealthy I will use it anyway. That’s 20 million a week in wages. Over 52 weeks that’s over a billion dollars. Pretty much what the Waltons lost in net worth. Not to mention the hedge fund millionaires who believed in Walmart even though they never shopped there cause millionaires don’t shop there.
I know there are some misguided fools that don’t understand the nature of business and retail who will say some simpleton thing about Walmart doing more to sell more stuff like having an appropriate number of checkout people but the reality of retail is that it’s better to squeeze more money out of the people that come to your store no matter how good or bad the service is cause that’s just where they always go.
So when the now overpaid, not that they weren’t overpaid before since minimum wage is an attack on freedom and America, checker asks you to sign up for a Walmart credit card or pay extra for an extended warranty, it’s important for America and flags and freedom, that you do all this to help the Waltons recover the money they lost because of their benevolence toward the moochers that work for them.
It’s sad that Walton family members are losing money thanks to the people they generously hired. It’s sad that because they gave them an extra dollar an hour that now Walton’s may have to fire a maid or chef to save money. God forbid a Walton toast his own toast. But that’s the price we all pay for being kind.
Good point Joe. Although we could look at it from another view. Look at it from my view as a holder of a few shares of WalMart stocks. If the Walton Family would work for minimum wage they could pay much better dividends. 🙂 Of course, the contention that they were simply trying to do something good is no eXcuse here.
