To say that nothing has been accomplished is a rather puzzling statement. Looking at the long term statistics alone should give you pause and I agree with her that lack of enforcement or incompetent enforcement is a problem, but I might as well whistle in the wind. There will never be an intelligent or objective conversation about guns in America with both sides so protective of their framed statistics and the aversion to actually reading the law. Paranoia and magic thinking, special pleading and Denialism — of thee I sing.

What do you mean by “accomplished” anyway? Has the crime rate gone up or is there a sudden focus on mass murder/suicides? I’ve written about some very grizzly murders recently, not involving guns. Nobody cares and it doesn’t make the news. Nothing does actually unless it can be used to further some agenda, but as I said about objective discussion. . .
