Great point there! “Running for president is different from being president”. That is something that the American people should consider when the voting starts because talking the talk is much different than walking the walk. Would be presidents can say anything and promise anything because what they say or promise means nothing. There is always “situational changes that prevent them from doing what they had promised. Being president means taking responsibility for what is done and not done. Syria could well be a flash point for a fight between America and Russia and it should not be. President Putin of Russia made a good point when he said that they were going to get involved and help the Syrian government because he did not want ISIS or the rebels on his borders. That is a justifiable national security interest for Russia. While we may object to the way Syria runs its government on moral grounds Russia has support the regime in power there for some time. Russia’s main concern is to keep terrorist out of their country. Unless we are willing, and I am not, to go to war with Russia over how the Syrians conduct their business we should allow Russia to help its ally and focus on ISIS outside of Syria.
