The Young Turks: God is Pro-Abortion
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian reveal how a 2013 Texas anti-abortion law, HB2, is actually causing more women to have an abortion during their second trimester. A part of HB2 makes it necessary for clinics to follow strict regulations. Clinics are shut down if they don’t follow code.
Kasparian breaks it down, “They have made abortion so difficult to get in the state that a number of clinics have shut down.” She adds, “The wait times are so long that in some cases women have to wait until they’re in their second trimester to get the abortion which actually makes the abortion more complicated.”
This part of HB2 is being tried by the Supreme Court for constitutionality. If the Supreme Court upholds it, “…the number of second-trimester abortions will double, from 6,600 in 2013 to a projected 12,400 annually.” Kasparian attacks Conservatives who argue that strict regulations will make it safer for women, “This so called ‘pro-life’ law is going to lead to more deaths.”
Uygur points out the real intentions of pro-life supporters, “They don’t like women having power over their own bodies.”

As humans have progressed through the ages they have come to a point of wanting more and more power. For example, when we read about serial killers and rapist we think about the offenders being some bizarre creatures when the fact is they are simply men who want absolute power over others. Actually, while some people say that money is the root of all evil it is actually the power that money brings that is the root of that evil. The desire to control everybody and everything became impossible simply by conquering nations through war and violence but others found out very early on that it could be done through mind control. Mind control through religion. There is no other explanation for the fact that it is the single biggest cause of death in all of history and probably prehistory. Those who spew the ridiculous notions that an unseen entity is controlling life and offers a better life when they die probably shows how weak minded humans are at their basic level.
“They don’t like women having power over their own bodies.”
I think so too and like most prejudiced arguments it poses as principle. The prejudice is religious in origin and freedom is never supported by religion,
is it?
Real life hardly ever resembles the results we expect from our actions and particularly the actions of fools, fanatics and the blindly self-righteous — by which I mean Republican evangelicals.
