My family and some of my friends have experienced the curse. I lost my mother to Lewy Body Disease, the same thing that Robin Williams suffered from. But yes, the “every man for himself” side of Republican beliefs is making things worse and is sure to make it the scourge of “family Values” in America.
It’s expensive to manage dementia patients, It’s heartbreaking and soul sucking and life wasting. I’ve been through it and may soon have to go through it again. Too often there’s no one to turn to in “I’ve got mine and screw you” America where the idea of sharing risk and sharing responsibility is the Devil’s work and only the wealthy matter.
Nest time you hear some politician and his star spangled banter, remember we’re the greatest country ever to abandon the old, the sick, the disabled. The Greatest country to let people die from curable diseases to let people wander the streets in confusion and pain sest someone somewhere get a dime they didn’t “deserve” while they bitch about their religious sensibilities being offended.
What a great idea. Won’t happen in America because the fucking republicans won’t like it for one reason or another.
