Cenk Uygur explains the reason behind Bernie Sanders’ success despite the lack of media attention and corporate donors. Sanders is blowing away Republicans in independent contributions. His campaign released that Sanders has raised $2 million, rivaling the numbers of President Obama’s 2012 campaign.
“He doesn’t want to be beholden to those millionaires and billionaires. That’s why he’s not taking the Super PAC money,” Uygur explains, “And that’s why, despite the enormous number of people who’ve given him money, in terms of money raised, he’s still losing to Hillary Clinton.”
Uygur breaks down the reason mainstream media isn’t covering this surge by Sanders.
“You can try to hush it up all day long…whether you like it or not, Bernie Sanders is coming. I guess you think he’s bringing hell with him for you guys in the establishment. That’s why you’re desperate not to talk about him.”
