Do More Immigrants Equal More Litter?

The town where I live has a high percentage of immigrants from Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. The amount of rubbish and litter in the streets is, frankly, disgraceful. Is it related to the high percentage of immigrants? I can’t answer that with definiteness as I am in no position other than to give the following examples.

My wife and I enjoy the Cotswolds. We stay in a small town called Burford. The only immigrants in Burford are hotel workers. Apart from that pretty much every other person living in Burford is indigenous to England. There is no litter.

My mother lives in High Crompton near Oldham in Lancashire. There are hardly any immigrants from anywhere in High Crompton and there is hardly any litter to speak of.

Not far from my home is Denham Village. It is beautiful – the late actor Sir John Mills lived there – and there is no litter to speak of.

Southall just down the road from me is almost entirely Asian. It is filthy in the streets.

My home town is more immigrant than indigenous and it is filthy. Cans of Polish lager litter the streets as do any other kinds of filth.

Oldham, not far from my mother’s home has a very high immigrant population and, again, it is filthy.

So, why is this? I don’t know, you tell me. If I say it is the immigrants many of you will say I’m being racist or xenophobic so I won’t say it. It isn’t my fault that the vast majority of the places that are plagued with litter and rubbish also happen to have high percentages of immigrants living there is it?

Is it my fault that everywhere I go that is predominantly indigenous English it is clean and tidy?

Of course there are places that are predominantly indigenous English that are anything but – interestingly they are invariably places where the poor and poorly educated and criminal classes often live.

This suggests to me that, in many cases, immigrants are no more disposed to keeping their home towns tidy as our own poorly educated chavs are which, sadly, suggests immigrants have the same lack of respect that our own chavs invariably have.

(A ‘chav’ is, basically, a selfish thick moron who will spill your beer and then thump you for the trouble)

Now trying to find a solution regarding our ‘chavs’ is one thing but, if you are an immigrant to this country then it should go without saying that you respect this country and treat it and it’s people with respect.

Dropping empty cans of Tyskie beer all over the place is not conducive to being accepted. In fact, I personally think that anyone found behaving so should be immediately arrested and repatriated.

Come to that, any African or Asian or Eastern European who behaves in this way should be shipped out.

If that’s make me racist and / or xenophobic then so be it.

It’s MY country and it’s bad enough that we have some thick and lazy Brit’s who are too thick and lazy to keep the place tidy. The last thing we need are some thick and lazy immigrants doing the same.

Next door we have Sikhs. Their garden is filthy. Rats are moving in. I asked them to sort it out and received abuse.

Filth and litter is a major problem everywhere in Britain, particularly in immigrant communities, is becoming a problem and it needs to be sorted out.
