I have another proposal. It is the same one that we carry to other countries when we convince then to become democratic. First, let’s understand that America is not a democracy, it is , at best, a Republic which makes me wonder why we push other countries to be democratic, but that is another argument. Why don’t we take our own advice and become truly democratic and do away with primaries, at least for national elections. Let the feds develop a data based for national elections and then we shut down the country for two days and and everyone votes for whoever they want to be president and vice president. We can do it just like we have the other countries do. Dip there thumbs in a bright purple ink that will not wash off and place their thumb print beside their choice and leave. We will need to had certified federal poll workers and monitors. At the end of the voting we simply count up the votes. If one does not get at least 50% of the vote we have a run off the next month between the two with the highest vote count. This idiotic idea that we have a two party system is simply not working.
