I don’t know what surprises me more, this narcissistic side of Sanders or the beer hall putsch side of his supporters. A war of personality cults really isn’t what we should be involved in if we want to continue to pretend to a rational and civilized culture.

I assume you’re referring to Hillary when you mention cults?

Ah, the tu quoque defense. I think that’s one of Aristotle’s Sophistical Refutations, if I’m not mistaken.

Cults of personality are not rare in politics, or anywhere else for that matter. It’s part of human nature and that’s unfortunate. But you seem to be saying that because of this, the cult of Bernie has no significance. I disagree and the main reason is the difference in qualification. Bernie has slogans and all the trappings of a cult hero but isn’t too well informed about the things he shouts most about and the things he scapegoats.

I will vote for Clinton with reservations, as will many other people. I disagree with some of her policies. That’s hardly evidence of hero worship and the only evidence for the validity of your assertion seems to be the assertion itself.
