I live in Martin County, about the only place left where the beach is free from condos and the land is mostly public. Even so, out of state corporate interests have no intention of leaving a square inch unpaved or unpolluted. I don’t think I’m exaggerating things by calling it rape

Me either. I was once a Grayson supporter and mostly because of his sarcastic wit, but his bought and paid for support of a railroad project here that will decimate the economy of the Atlantic coast, destroy billions in property value and cost tens of thousands of jobs ended that. This “private” project will get almost two billion of public funds and will benefit no one but Disney and the cruise lines. Grayson supports making my state into an amusement park and I’m not laughing any more.

Gee Glenn, I thought that Florida and California were America’s amusement parks. Just kidding of course. I love Florida. I spent a lot of my youth in Destin with my grandfather before it became a tourist resort. I can remember when what we called “Silver Beach” went all the way from Destin to Panama City Beach without a single building of any kind on it. My wife’s father lives in Sarasota now.
