I have long stated that over the decades, especially since WWII we have screwed too much in other peoples business, but for anyone to say that we deserved any of this is ludicrous. On balance this country has done far more good than harm in the world. The problem seems to be that regardless of whether we intervene or not we are going to be targeted. Did we deserve 9/11, nope. That was payback for helping Osama and Kuwait. The ideologies that American planes were using Saudi bases to push Sadamm back into Iraq justified us becoming their great Satan is a load of horse manure. It is more about Islamic domination of the world than anything else. It justifies everything that Al Queada and ISIS did or does including killing their own people because they believe in the wrong kind of Islam. Just to be clear, this is nothing new. Islam has been fighting each other and the world long before there was a United States of America. The religious ideologies all pretty much started in the same area of the world and warped the minds of a lot of people because even the Europeans and their Christianity kept going back down there to fight the various Boudin groups over the place where their alleged religious leader was born. None of this makes any sense whatsoever. I think the heat and lack of anything better to do simply drives people in the Mideastern countries mad. In some cases there is at least material for a debate for nuking those countries back to the stone age except most of them have never left. It is indeed a sad legacy for the once great Persian Empire to now be mired is such a morass as it is now.

“and a hundred times worse” to boot. Sorry, I think that’s over the top. Expect it? sure. Putin is brazen and unscrupulous. He’s Vlad the invader and Putin the poisoner, but an American apparently collaborating in espionage? We don’t deserve that and it’s hard to take when his backers are accusing Clinton of being a spy.

I’ve listened to the 9/11 was justified argument for 15 years now and I’m sorry if I attached you to it. Perhaps a little over the top too.

Where did all that come from? Security is important. I didn’t say we shouldn’t stop incursions if we can. But we’ve been screwing with Iran’s computers for years to stop their nuclear program. China is hacking ours. Russia is hacking ours. Do you think we aren’t screwing with theirs? Seriously? Where does this world view come from that we get to do whatever we want from murdering thousands in central America and overthrowing governments in the middle east but if they do anything to us it’s all of a sudden not fair? Boo Hoo buddy. It might not be on a battlefield but it’s still warfare isn’t it? just of a different kind. I just think the outrage is misplaced. Expect it. Fix it. Learn something. move on.

Deserve it? Thanks, but I’m not going to support the dismantling of NATO, the reconstitution of the USSR and further incursions into Europe because you think we deserve it. I think there is more to this that meets the eye. Were you one of those “we deserved it” guys after 9/11?

I get such a kick out of this one. Read an article that was “outraged” that a foreign power was messing with one of our elections. Takes some real balls to say this after we’ve messed up elections, overthrown governments, undermined and just plain screwed with everybody on the planet. Jeez, guys, put a sock on it. We definitely deserve this and about a hundred times worse.

I have contended all along that Trump wanted this election for two reasons. One, if you think his brand earned money before just wait until (or if) he actually becomes president. Not only will he make big bucks on the speaking tour but his steaks, travel business, etc. will surely earn him more; and two, he hopes to become a tyrant like Putin where he speaks and everyone jumps.
