Four Years of Groundhog Day

Read Time:1 Minute, 18 Second

groundhog-day-usaI’m cautiously optimistic about Mrs. Clinton’s chances this November, but I’m absolutely confident that we will have four years of investigations and hearings designed, if not to produce an impeachment, to impede her ability to function as a president.  It’s been the modus operandi since Bill’s two terms and the Republican Party has been a straight jacket and little more ever since.

The usual suspects in the house are calling for a special prosecutor.  Crazy Cruz  has called for a “serious criminal investigation” based on yet another fabricated video alleging voter fraud and Speaker Paul Ryan, the Cowardly Lion wants “aggressive oversight work” in the House based on the utter and absolute and overwhelming scandal of reclassifying an email.  All tactics familiar to the GOP and exciting to those hopelessly infected with Hillaryhate and to those whose insight into American politics began yesterday.

Some have hoped a Trump debacle would force reality on the Republicans, prompt a shift toward the middle and a tentative return to concern for the consequences of their actions, but of course some have hoped for a lot of things and a lot of lost causes. Another President Clinton is probably better than a psychopathic, vengeful and power mad warmonger in the White House, but the price will be high and the war on government, the war against America and the war against progress will continue. ISIS or no ISIS, I can see the future and it’s war:  Famine, Death and Pestilence sold separately.

Why can’t our legislators just LEGISLATE?! This tit-for-tat ring nothing for our nation, its citizens, or our reputation in the whole global environment!

Congress has a lower approval rating than Herpes, but the controlling party supports the premise that legislation is bad, law is bad and government is bad, so what could they vote on that wouldn’t be bad? You wouldn’t want them to do anything bad, would you?

It’s been a pattern since Nixon ran away. You can tell from the rhetoric that surrounded “whitewater” that it was mean to be a tit for tat retribution for Watergate. Like Trump, the search for vengeance is huuuge and as the Limp Mr. Limbaugh told us, he hopes Obama would fail in trying to bring back the country after the Goddamn Republicans ruined everything.

Vengeance, sabotage, religion and guns. That’s what Republicans are made of.

“Vengeance, sabotage, religion and guns. That’s what Republicans are made of.” Couldn’t have said it better myself!

The Washington Post has an article out, today, dealing with just that subject. That idiot Jason Chaffetz has already declared war on Clinton, planning dozens of “investigations” once she is elected.

Great point Glenn. I was wondering whether we should start a new campaign and try to have voters from every state sign petitions demanding that the house and the senate stick to the business of legislating the business of the people and stop screwing around with their damned investigations.
