Well Herr Pence is bidin’ his time. He’s like a puma hunting a jack rabbit. “I’ll just wait here in these bushes, and not flex a single muscle. My heart won’t beat. My lungs won’t pass air. When he thinks he’s safe… I GOT the bitch.”

After speaking with a few people in other countries and reading some good articles coming from the more political and legal minds here, I begin to see our folly. We are being bombarded with shock and awe in order to keep us off balance while the real agenda is being slipped right under us. Whoever wrote the EO Muslim ban did so knowing it was so outrageous that everyone’s energies would be focused on that and who right now is paying as much attention to the shake up at the NSC and the installation of Bannon into one of the most critical councils in this country? How did someone with such radical views and actions get the security clearance to sit on the NSC? And what of the general who was unseated to make room for Bannon? If we are constantly fighting these new orders, while there is less focus on the cabinet appointments. The Muslim ban? ACLU has got that, support them but let’s focus back on the cabinet appointments and let’s start asking the hard questions about Bannon. Let us dust off the Constitution and refamiliarize ourselves with it and the amendments, Bill of Rights, FOIA and immigration laws. Let us not argue from a place of passion and politics but from a place of law. We are a nation of laws or we are a nation of anarchists and no longer a democracy. THAT is our real fight. #RESIST
I worry more about Trump’s cabinet groundwork. Hence is a religious nutter as you say, Mike, but Trump has installed/is installing economic nightmares!
Realizing this is terrifying but Pence, who can even imagine someone worse than Trump, is a worse threat to our democracy than the Cheeto in Chief. The mobilization of the Resistance is critical and much depends on our response to each new horror. We cannot afford to wait and see, we cannot afford to be complacent. Our very lives depend on our taking action now.
I tend to agree with you in some respects, but I don’t think Pence will get us into a nuclear war. I do believe Trump will. We’ve had religious nutters in the WH before such as George Bush. He tried to inject religion into government and was largely unsuccessful.
