On Trump: Resistance is Not Futile-Speak Up, Lock Him Up

Picking on Trump is like harassing the pilot of your plane, says the Facebook post. Funny how I didn’t hear much of that sort of thing during the “I hope he fails” phase of Obama’s presidency when Lying Limbaugh said it, but of course this is one of those arguments that have no meaning because they don’t include a description of the goals he’s to fail at.

Continuing the analogy, I think of Flight 93 and the passengers who didn’t just sit there talking about sports. So, I’ll tell you that I hope Trump fails to cause the disruption in the markets and the recession I’m 90% certain will occur in his first year. I hope he fails to deprive millions of people the opportunity to buy health insurance.

Limbaugh’s hope of course was that Obama would fail to facilitate an economic recovery and Rush was quite wrong about that, although his idiotic ilk still refuse to acknowledge the success. But yes, for the kleptocracy it’s wrong to criticize the crooks and was right for the crooks to criticize the reformers because, in case you have forgotten, we’re in Bizarro world where everything is its opposite and where it was Obama behind the fake news about Trump and the media and Hillary was corrupt.

I’m aware of the redundancy when I caution against the futility of arguing with idiots, Republicans and delusional people with evil intent, but I’m damned if I’m going to be quiet about the advice to just sit back and enjoy the rape. I hope he fails.

I hope he fails to castrate the Bill of Rights. I hope he fails to promote Russian power and prevent the US from influencing trade in Southeast Asia. I hope he fails to promote nuclear proliferation. I hope he fails to set new highs in Deficit spending. I hope he fails to make this a Christian nation. I hope he fails to eliminate public education. I hope he fails to make more billions from secret deals and stock manipulations and nepotism, using public office for private gain and I hope the rest of us force him out of office and into prison while we still have a functioning legal system.

Call me Quixotic, but I’d rather offer futile resistance than suffer Feudal persecution. His approval ratings are lower than any president elect has ever had and it’s time to speak up now. His true intentions are evil and potentially disastrous. Speak up about the most corrupt and invidious president in our history and LOCK HIM UP
