Hey Mr Trump: Is Showing A Little Humility All That Hard?

When Donald J. Trump won the election my Facebook feed was filled with messages from friends who were stunned and disheartened by the news. But like a lot of people I know, there’s always that one friend- you know, the one who, no matter what tragic thing happens, is always upbeat, positive, and in denial of reality.

She said:

“Oh, come on. Maybe it won’t be so bad! Give Trump a chance! He may turn out to be the best president we’ve ever had!”

Aside from wanting to punch her in the face, I shot back,

“Are you serious? What on God’s green Earth makes you dumb enough to believe that Trump won’t use the power of the presidency to make a quick buck? Or to put it another way, if a reformed child molester who claimed to have ‘found God’ and got a job at your kid’s preschool, would you be so quick to give him a chance?”

That shut her up pretty damned quick.

By and large, Trump supporters are some of the most moronic people on the planet. How do I know this? Easy- BECAUSE THEY VOTED FOR DONALD TRUMP, no further explanation needed. It really doesn’t matter what their rationale is, just the fact that they would vote for a man who is so obviously unqualified for the job on every conceivable level proves it. They know exactly who he is and what he’s about, and they don’t care.

Unlike every other president before him, Trump has refused to divest himself from his businesses and place them in a blind trust, which means that even though he claims his two mutant sons are running everything, he still has a vested interest in them. Trump, his family, nor members of his staff seem to understand the business of Trump Inc. and the business of the federal government are not intertwined.

That became evidently clear earlier this week as the Cheeto-faced Shitgibbon had a meltdown on Twitter when he found out that Nordstrom, a high-end retail outlet, had made the decision to stop selling Ivanka Trump’s fashion line and accessories at their stores because of low sales. Of course, Trump being the whiny little bitch he is, could not let it go. He tweeted:

“My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person—always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!”

When I read this, a few thoughts ran through my mind, the primary one being- doesn’t that ginger-flavored colostomy bag have ANYTHING more important he should be doing now since he’s…. I dunno…. THE SO-CALLED LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD? Then I heard he wrote that tweet while a security briefing was going on. For those of you with short-term memory loss, let me repeat it: HE WAS IN A SECURITY BRIEFING. You know, where the president gets updated to any possible threats to the country? Yeah, apparently, a slight to his daughter’s business brand is more important than our safety.

I can see his point, though. I mean, who cares about another terrorist attack if you can’t find a pair of pumps and a cute bracelet from the Ivanka Trump collection? If you’re going to get mowed down in a hail of machine gun fire, best to do it in style. You gotta have your priorities straight.

The thing that made me laugh the hardest was Trump pointing out how his daughter was a ‘good person who is always pushing him to do the right thing.’ While I don’t have anything against Ivanka, I’ll just say this: If you need your daughter to point out what the right thing is, then you have neither a conscience or a soul.  In addition, considering how many messed up things Trump has done in the last three weeks, I’d also venture to say Ivanka hasn’t been the greatest influence on her father, either.

If it were simply a case of his Unholiness the Dope throwing his usual temper tantrum, I could live with that. Trump throws more hissy fits than a thirteen-year old girl on her first period. The nation could survive that. Hell, with a bottle of Guinness in hand, I might even survive it. When Sean Spicer, however, a GOVERNMENT employee, decided to make it part of his daily briefing to the press and then make the completely ABSURD accusation that Nordstrom dropped Ivanka as a protest against her father’s political policies, then we go from humorous to downright pathetic. Dude, seriously- A.) THAT IS NOT YOUR JOB, and B.) NOBODY CARES. Of all the things going on right now, Trump’s daughter’s issues are of no concern whatsoever. All you’re doing is making yourself look stupider, and by extension, your boss. Then again, it isn’t like he has to try very hard.

Kellyanne Crypt-Keeper made a bigger boner by actually ENDORSING and PROMOTING Ivanka’s product line, which is a clear violation of the government’s ethics code. I had to laugh when they said the President’s counselor had to be ‘counseled’ as punishment. Makes you wonder what that punishment consisted of. It wouldn’t surprise me if she’d gotten a bonus and an off-season trip to Hawaii. You just know that if something like this had happened during Obama’s term, the republicans would be screaming for blood and the violator would have gotten their ass fired so quick they wouldn’t have had time to collect their shit from the White House. Remember Van Jones? He was forced to resign from the Obama administration simply because he had the ‘audacity’ to criticize George W. Bush and referred to the republicans as assholes. What a monster!

All throughout the election, Trump said he wanted to run the country the same way he ran his businesses. Okay, so based on that criteria, let’s judge his performance- he’s guilty of sexual harassment, he sucks at the job, he’s tweeting on company time, and he isn’t putting in the hours he should. Now, you tell me- if you were guilty of any of those things, do you REALLY think you’d be employed for much longer?

Think about it.

Donald Trump has been the top dog at his company for decades, answerable to no one but himself. Those days are over. He has a new boss- THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. And if you haven’t noticed by now, a lot of us aren’t happy with our new employee. Trump seriously thinks we’re just going to roll over and fawn over his every word. Well, Donnie, guess what- IT AIN’T GOING TO HAPPEN. We don’t work for you- YOU WORK FOR US. You really want to honor your daughter and do the right thing?

GROW UP AND STOP BEING A DICK.

Humility isn’t such a hard concept to grasp. All you need is to come to the realization that some things are bigger than your own ego. A smart man would understand that. A wise man would understand that. The question is, Donald- can you understand that?

I highly doubt it. You’re not capable of seeing beyond yourself. You want to be accepted? You want to be respected? You want to be loved? You want to make America truly great again? Here’s a suggestion, start by accepting the fact that not everything is about you.

It’s about all of us. Until then, you’re just a pathetic joke.

RESIST.

Remember, he’s actually said he’s the smartest man in the world. He’s not going to change and perhaps not even when the planet is lit up like the closing scene in Dr. Strangelove. Humility? Look for Humility in Thor or Zeus, but not the Donald.

It’s harder to understand why people support him though and it says little for the hypothesis that sanity exists to any measurable degree. The best I can hope for is that he will emulate his predecessor George III and begin to run about the White House barking like a Chihuahua in a fright wig. But even then he might be re-elected.

Her stuff is shit anyway. She even moved manufacturing to Ethiopia because it’s cheaper to do there than in China. That being said, I did go for some retail therapy and just happened to land in Nordstrom when all this happened.Today we have him twittering about Mark Cuban not being smart, meanwhile his brother from another mother is launching missiles and he has zero to say about that other than, we’re behind the Japanese 110%. He is by far the stupidest man to ever live and I cannot believe the amount of people that voted for him.

Yep and if you read what his supporters are saying he is the best thing since fire came up and can do no wrong. Does not matter what he does they have an excuse for it. I’ve been indisposed for a couple of weeks and thankfully never paid attention. Makes me madder than mad we went from Obama to an idiot.

Jess our neighbor across the street is a fanatic Trumpeter. Even has a banner in his front yard saying “Make America Great Again.” He and my hubby almost came to blows just after the election when he started laughing and pointing at us every time we left the house because “Killary lost,” as he would chant. A grown man. He’s a doctor by the way. A surgeon. They are all idiots no matter their line of work it seems.

Trump doesn’t understand the concept of “humility.” It is foreign to him, just like reading books or knowing history.
