(NEWSER) – More than four months after one of the most shocking election losses in American history, Hillary Clinton has hinted that she’s ready to return to public life.

In a St. Patrick’s Day speech to the Society of Irish Women in Scranton, Pa., Clinton said she is “ready to come out of the woods” and help people come together, the Allentown Morning Call reports. “I do not believe that we can let political divides harden into personal divides,” Clinton said, recalling how when she was first lady, she met with women seeking peace in Northern Ireland. “We can’t just ignore or turn a cold shoulder because they disagree politically, we have to listen to each other and learn from each other.”

“I’m like a lot of my friends right now, I have a hard time watching the news,” she said, speaking in the hometown her father left to seek work during the Great Depression. “I am ready to come out of the woods and to shine a light on what’s already happening around kitchen tables at dinners like this to help draw strength to enable everyone to keep going, that’s the spirit of Scranton,” said Clinton, who was seen walking in the woods near her home in Chappaqua, NY two days after the election.

The Hill notes that the remarks suggest she is ready to return to the spotlight—and that earlier this week, there were reports that she is considering a run for mayor of New York City.
