It’s OK To Insult The Donald, But Don’t Threaten Him

by David P. Greenberg

For the record, it is not illegal to insult the orange pus-ball. It is not illegal to call him out on his spaghetti of lies. It is not illegal to cast aspersions about his utter lack of a physique.

What IS illegal, is to in any way insinuate or incite violence towards his person. I have never done that. Check my page. Go back as far as you want. The furthest I have ever gone in that direction is to imply that I would work to make him reach the point where he would want to do violence to himself. That’s not a threat, nor is it illegal.

Many Republicans and teabaggers DID, in fact, suggest and even advocate violence to Obama and Obama’s family. Most of this violence was racially motivated.

But I have never advocated violence towards Trump or any member of his family.

Moreover, I would strongly advocate AGAINST any violence toward Trump. If something untoward were to happen to Trump, it would elevate him in status to a martyr, and further fuel the impending civil war. No, he should live to be a hundred – in a padded room.

This post is to all Secret Service members. I am a political threat, not a violence threat. I will do anything in my power – I will work tirelessly – to end his reign and repair the damage done, but I will do it within the constraints of Constitutional law and within the guidelines of the First Amendment.

I am rather fond of this quote from Clarence Darrow:

I have never killed anyone, but I have read some obituaries with great satisfaction.”

My reading list is heavily populated by Republican politicians.

How appropriate. My reading list is also so populated.
