Trump’s Bag Of Tricks: Healthcare and Clean Air Are Rabbits In the Hat

Read Time:1 Minute, 45 Second

by Glenn R. Geist

“It’s imploding and soon will explode and it’s not going to be pretty,” said Donald Trump yesterday.

No, he’s not talking about his face or his marriage or the affection he’s enjoyed from the toads in the cistern or the rotten fruit in the bottom of the barrel. He’s talking about the Obama healthcare plan, the one based on Mitt Romney’s Republican plan. Actually it isn’t according to Bloomberg and most of the business publications I read regularly, but Trump is going to try to make it fail in every way he can so he can sound like he’s not a liar, which he is.

Of course the tried and true technique used by political vermin and other Republicans everywhere is to pick the worst and tell us it’s typical and so we will hear about premiums in Arizona which went way up but not in Indiana where they went down and Trump will use all the tricks he’s learned from his Vodka and Borscht friends to try to kill it instead of fixing it.

The same tricks he’s using to convince you we need more coal smoke in the air and coal dust in the the water and more jobs that send you to an early grave and don’t pay enough to live on and you get the crap beat out of you when you try to organize. You know, like when we were great. And you’ll fall for it, you smug, ignorant bags of hate. Just like you believe he’s going to build that 20 billion dollar wall that won’t do anything or that he’s going to be able to put a trillion dollars into roads and bridges without funneling 900 billion through Trump businesses or bring us back to the kind of manufacturing we did a hundred years ago (and the working conditions we did it with).

Somewhere a young writer like Dickens is getting ready to write up your crimes and your ugly, evil, smug, and revolting story.

No doubt about that. My question is whether it’s too late to fix it?

Every single morning, when the fog of dreams leaves me, reality sets in and that reality is that Donald Trump is actually president. That’s the real nightmare.

He’ll fix that for you Mike. Soon the air will be filled with smoke and haze so you’ll never know if you’re still in dream fog, or nightmarish reality.

You’re welcome.

And you are right Stacey, no doubt, because its going to get very bad before it gets better.
