In America You Can’t Rule By Fiat

Throughout the campaign last fall, all voters heard was how #45 was going to do this, and this, and this, many of those promises supposedly going to take place on day one. While I am glad much of his agenda has not come to pass, one cannot escape noticing that #45 does not know how to get things done with OTHERS. His only mechanism thus far has been the Executive Order, ya know, the mechanism the conservatives lost their minds over on a consistent basis when the former President Barack Obama signed one out of necessity.
Let me be perfectly clear: As point of fact, Barack Obama signed less executive orders than Bush, but that did not stop conservatives laying the false allegation at Obama’s feet that “we don’t live in a monarchy,” and your “signing executive orders is governance by fiat.” Of course, they never called Barack Obama “King Obama,” for that would have been a bridge too far for even conservatives to cross, for that would have provided legitimacy to an already legitimate President.
However, I digress!

Since #45 has been sworn into office, he has accomplished NOTHING, zilch, nadda, or zero legislative accomplishments. Why? Because having legislative accomplishments requires the leader to actually work WITH those varying factions and groups within the legislative branch. During the campaign – as noted – he promised his fans the world, and yet he has failed to deliver on one single thing. My question: When will his supporters actually wake up to realize they have been duped by a BULLY?
I use the word “bully,” because that is precisely what #45 is. It shows in nearly every aspect of his presidency, and the thugs he has placed in his cabinet, – with a few exceptions – are well, let’s just say they are the opposite of his promise to “drain the swamp.” Again: When will those who supported this man realize THEY have been duped? I highlight the word “they,” because most of us on the liberal side KNEW in advance that this guy was trouble. And we have yet to scratch the surface, folks? Despite this, conservatives are wont to accuse liberals or centrists of being “sheeple,” a disparaging term used to characterize those who blindly follow a leader. The irony could not be richer folks!
While #45 uses his office to increase his bottom line at the taxpayers expense, and despite him promising his fan club the world, at the end of the day, it is apparent that all this guy can do is sign executive orders. Hey, King 45! You don’t rule by fiat.

Unfortunately he IS ruling by fiat and until the spineless congress changes that he’ll continue to do so.
He’s done nothing since he’s been in office. He’s a charlatan.
I don’t know the answer Mike, wish I did. I just find my angry and fight back and hope I make a difference eventually.
I just posted that same depression, mine, on FB. It seems I’m depressed every day anymore. I have got to stop listening to the news. Maybe that will help?
We will be suffering the consequences of this idiot presidency for years to come. Some of the worst damage will be beyond repair. I am so depressed.
